Whenever we decide to lose weight it is also very important to note that everyone loses weight in a different way and at a different speed and because of this we should never compare ourselves to anyone else losing weight
Everyone also has a different set of circumstances in their life which can make weight loss easier or harder. For example some of us have more than one baby/child to take care of, some of us are single parents. Some of us have full or part time work to juggle as well as taking care of our families, some of us have health issues which can impact our weight loss, some of us do not have close family to help out and some of us are new mums trying to juggle life on very very little sleep – to name but a few.
Each of us also has a different BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the rate our body burns energy and this is dependent on our age, weight and sex and can vary considerably from one person to the next – it is important to work out your own BMR if you are trying to lose weight so that you know how many calories you roughly need to maintain or lose weight.
If you are wanting to lose weight, then the best way to tackle it is to look at it as a healthy goal and when you address your eating habits and exercise habits to be more geared towards a healthy lifestyle then weight loss will be a by product of your new healthy life.
It is also important to lose weight in a healthy and safe way that doesn’t involve rapid weight loss measures or extreme diets which contain chemicals and weight loss accelerants which can cause a raft of side effects and which are not a healthy way to lose weight.
Our bodies need lots of nutrients to thrive and it also needs foods from all of the food groups so any diet that cuts out food groups is not a healthy and balanced diet – and will also lead to a lack of energy as your body struggles to operate – which is an obvious no no for any mum!
