‘I Wanted To Give Up’ – Zoe Hendrix Shares Breastfeeding Struggles

It may be one of the most controversial TV shows of our time, but Married At First Sight did manage one amazing thing – a gorgeous baby! MAFS couple Zoe and Alex have been sharing images of their life as new parents, and now the proud mama has revealed her breastfeeding struggles, and triumphs.

“I FEED her body and she NOURISHES my soul” It took me a good two weeks to get the hang of breastfeeding. Like a new pair of shoes my boobs had to be worn in boot camp style! (Ouch!)? Both Harper & I had to learn the art of attachment and it wasn’t easy. I had days I wanted to give up. Thank god for the nipple shield which was a godsend when I needed in those early days when my nips resembled a crime scene ?. (Highly recommend!) And now when I feed my baby, I marvel at the perfect nourishment my body producers and I am so grateful and honoured I can breastfeed her, especially acknowledging it can be for many a horrible ordeal for a myriad of reasons. Our bodies are extraordinary ladies we must never forget or be made to feel we are doing anything but what our breasts were created to do!??❤ #normalisebreastfeeding

She Nourishes My Soul

Every new mum knows how precious those moments in the first few weeks are. Looking down, feeding your baby, knowing you are nourishing their tiny bodies. Also receiving the same amount of nourishment yourself but in a completely different form; love.

Zoe says in her Instagram post: “I FEED her body and she NOURISHES my soul. It took me a good two weeks to get the hang of breastfeeding. Like a new pair of shoes my boobs had to be worn in boot camp style! (Ouch!) Both Harper & I had to learn the art of attachment and it wasn’t easy.

Dinner Time

Zoe looks flawless as she breastfeeds Harper. She makes sleep deprived look good.

Zoe Hendrix and Alex Garner met at the altar on the TV series, and have started to build their life and family ever since. Baby Harper Rose joined their family on November 14 and going by Zoe’s Instagram feed, she couldn’t be happier.

Beautiful Family

Gearing up for the new series of MAFS, Channel 9’s The Today Show had the only surviving couple appear on their show on January 1. Keep up the amazing job encouraging mums, Zoe. We are loving your work.
