Cream cheese stuffed bagel bites

Ingredients
  • 1cup wholemeal plain flour
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 3/4teaspoon kosher saltuse less if using table salt
  • 1cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1block cream cheesecubed into 8 pieces
  • 1 egg whitebeaten (a whole egg works fine too)
  • sesame seeds(or other seasonings, to decorate)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 190C. Line a tray with baking paper, and spray the paper with oil to avoid sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk well.
  3. Add the yoghurt and mix with a fork or spatula until well combined.
  4. Lightly dust some extra flour on a work surface and remove dough from the bowl, knead the dough a few times until dough is tacky.
  5. Divide dough into 8 equal balls.
  6. Flatten each ball into a circle, then place 1 cube of cream cheese on each. Roll up to cover the cheese with the dough and roll into a ball. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  7. Top with egg wash and sprinkle with seasoning of your choice. You could try bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic flakes, or dried onion flakes.
  8. Bake on the top rack of the oven for 25 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before eating.
