The Healthy Mummy has partnered with the Gidget Foundation to help raise funds for the Bun in the Oven campaign.
The Gidget Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that helps to raise awareness and funds for Perinatal Depression and Anxiety (PNDA). It helps to support the emotional well-being of expectant and new parents to ensure that those in need receive timely, appropriate and supportive care.
The Bun in the Oven events are morning teas that will help to raise important funds for the Gidget Foundation and raise awareness around this important cause. Some of the mums in our community are supporting this cause and our partnership by holding their own morning teas.
Gidget Foundation Afternoon Tea!
Beth Azzopardi hosted her own Gidget Foundation afternoon tea on Sunday with a wonderful group of Healthy Mummy’s.
“It was a fabulous day filled with laughter, cake, children and amazing Healthy Mummy snacks!”
“I used The Healthy Mummy Bun in the Oven Cookbook to create the following:”
Double Choc Muffins
Death by Chocolate Cake
Beth also made the Lemon and Coconut Muffins and the Chewy Coconut Cookies from the Bun in the Oven cookbook. Beth says all the food was “gluten-free to cater for intolerances and every recipe worked perfectly.”
“I was so proud of these wonderful ladies coming together and raising funds and awareness for such an important cause that has touched many of us and the beautiful Mummy’s around us.”
Beth says that “it’s not too late to register or host an event. Also please consider donating to this wonderful cause, even $1 helps”
This year The Healthy Mummy has created a FREE Bun In The Oven healthy recipe e-book full of baking inspiration in the hope to encourage supporters to get baking and host their very own Bun In The Oven event.
If you would like to donate, you can go to The Healthy Mummy donation page to make a small donation – it can be $1 or more if you can afford it.
