Mum Tash Horrocks was stuck in a rut and struggling after her son was born. She had put on weight and was diagnosed with postnatal depression, but then she discovered The Healthy Mummy and her life changed forever.
Along with her twin sister, she signed up for the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge which was great as they could support each other.
Tash has lost 21kg and is loving her new healthy lifestyle, read her inspiring story below.
Tash’s amazing weight loss journey
Tash says, “Okay here goes… It’s a long one Sorry Ladies
I signed up to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in October 2016 after seeing it all over Facebook and getting into a massive rut after being diagnosed with Postpartum Depression and stacking on a massive 17 kilograms in a matter of months after my son was born.
My twin sister actually signed up to the challenge too, which inspired me to do also.
I started out with small changes The Healthy Mummy snacks first as that was my biggest downfall, then family dinner’s, then swapping to Healthy Mummy Smoothies out of convenience. I have never looked back!
As The Healthy Mummy was a complete lifestyle change, I decided small steps was the way to go. So I didn’t give up and chuck in the towel from it all being too overwhelming- An excuse I had used in the past by setting myself up for failure and creating unrealistic goals.
I remember the very first snack I tried was The Peanut Bubble Crunch and fell in love with it straight away. I discovered that healthy didn’t have to be boring and bland at all. It was all exciting and new!
I have now been using all the products and recipes for over two years and my whole life has changed for the better. The Healthy Mummy isn’t just another diet, you won’t stack all of your weight back on because it teaches you how to use alternatives and stay on track (I am the first to admit, I slip up but I get back on the wagon) which has given me the ability to continue to succeed!
I am now fully addicted.
I owe my success to The Healthy Mummy.
I am two thirds of the way through my journey having lost a total of 21 kilograms.
I use to be a size 20/22 and now I am floating between 14-16.
My goal is for this time next year is to hit 30 Kilograms loss, Only 9 more to go.
This journey is not a sprint it’s a marathon but I guarantee you it’s worth the wait.
The best advice I can give anyone is to take small steps, Set mini goals and Reward yourself when you achieve them.”
