Amy is proof that every journey starts with one small step, and she’s here to help cheer you on along the way.
“I Had Completely Forgotten to Put Myself First”
Before discovering The Healthy Mummy in April 2015, Amy was navigating life as a new mum and, like so many mums, her own wellbeing had slipped to the bottom of the priority list.
“I was a new mum with a 5 month old baby and had completely forgotten to put myself first. I lacked motivation and hadn’t begun to drop the baby weight yet, so my sister recommended I join a program she has discovered called The Healthy Mummy – so I did! This was April 2015 and I’ve never looked back!”

When asked what prompted her to make a change, Amy’s answer was simple, “I felt uncomfortable in my own skin.”
Finding a Sustainable Approach
Rather than chasing quick fixes, Amy found success by focusing on simple habits she could stick with, Today, her journey continues to evolve, proving that health isn’t just about a number on the scales.
“I’ve lost 15kg after each baby, with healthy mummy smoothies and recipes, and prioritising exercise.”

The Recipes That Keep Her on Track
When life gets busy, Amy always comes back to one feature in The Healthy Mummy app. Her all time favourites are the Hidden Veg Spaghetti Bolognese and the Haloumi, Pumpkin & Feta Salad.
“The recipes. They are easy, nutritious and family friendly. If I am ever unsure of meals to make for dinner when meal planning, I just go to the app and find something.”

From New Mum to Marathon Training
One of Amy’s biggest non scale victories came years after joining The Healthy Mummy. In late 2023, she discovered a passion for running that has taken her far beyond what she ever imagined.
“I took up running in late 2023, I’ve completed 3 half marathons and am currently training for my first ever marathon in September!”

A Community That Always Welcomes You Back
For Amy, The Healthy Mummy isn’t just about recipes or workouts. It’s about knowing there’s always somewhere to come back to.
“It’s a great community full of real mums giving it a go and it’s a very warm, welcoming community.”.

Amy’s Advice for Mums Starting Their Journey
Throughout every stage of her journey, one lesson has continued to stand out for Amy: it’s okay to stop, start again, and keep moving forward.
“To know that it’s always been there when I’ve fallen off the wagon and it’s ok to stop and start again – the best part about THM is that it’s ok to start again.”
For any mum thinking about starting her own health journey, Amy’s advice is simple but powerful: “The hardest part is starting. Prioritising yourself is a huge step and is not selfish.”
A Journey That Keeps Growing
Amy’s story is a wonderful reminder that prioritising your health isn’t about being perfect, it’s about taking that first step and continuing to show up for yourself. Losing 15kg after each pregnancy is an incredible achievement, but it’s her newfound confidence, love of running, and belief that it’s always okay to start again that truly make her journey so inspiring.
From feeling uncomfortable in her own skin to training for her very first marathon, Amy’s transformation shows what’s possible with consistency, realistic healthy habits, and the support of a community that understands the ups and downs of motherhood.
Her story proves that putting yourself first isn’t selfish, it’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your family.
