Ah, Google – the place where so many of us find the ‘answers’ to life’s pressing questions. But when these two breastfeeding mums discovered the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge during a Google search, their lives changed forever.
The search that led to a 40kg* weight loss
Samantha Knight says she’s lost more than 40kgs*, and it all started when she was breastfeeding her three-month-old.
“My life changed only three short months after my first baby. I typed the words ‘breastfeeding friendly diet plan’ into Google and up popped The Healthy Mummy page. I NEVER looked back. I had my second baby in August 2016, after having an amazingly healthy and active pregnancy which included walking up to 12kms per day and maintaining my classes (including Metafit) up to 37 weeks,” Samantha explains.
“I like…no scratch that I LOVE exercise. I LOVE the meal plans, I LOVE the simplicity and by far and away above anything else I LOVE the community of women I have met along my journey.”
A four-year transformation
Samantha isn’t the only mums to kick-start her transformation on the internet.
Ashleigh Dunkley explains: “In April this year it will be four years since I first found The Healthy Mummy. Today I stepped on the scales to see that I am the lightest weight I have been since having my second child, and only 2kg away from my lightest adult weight ever.
“I still have loose skin, my boobs have all but disappeared, but I am more confident in my clothing. Other people have noticed the changes, especially around my shoulders and collarbone. I have more energy, I make healthy choices without a second thought and my life has totally been transformed.”
