“I was in a relationship where I was extremely unhappy. My mental health suffered. I turned to comfort food instead of making anything healthy choices for myself. My self-esteem was at an all-time low. I had no confidence & wore clothing that would hide my stomach so I didn’t appear to be as big.

Fast forward a year, I am confident, happy & I never thought I’d see a day where I would wear a bodysuit and rock it!

The Healthy Mummy has helped me & shown me so many ways to help me be the best version of myself.”

“A lot has changed since my first 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge back in June 2015. Obviously, there are the physical changes, 40+ kgs lost as well as loads of cms. But my body confidence, my attitude towards healthy eating and exercise have changed for the better, not only for me but for my family. I want my daughter to be body confident and live her best life and I’m doing all I can to make this happen. I don’t want her to follow the same path of destructive eating that I did. She ran her first 5km event on the weekend and I couldn’t be prouder.

“It’s hard when you can’t take pictures of what a bad mindset there was… all I can tell you is the woman on the right is so much happier and healthier than the woman on the left. Depression and anxiety ruled my life. And in finding a new body and lifestyle; I have found a new me.

It’s 50+ cms gone now. 26+ kgs from my heaviest. Pushing a size 16 now to a size 8-10. I have gained confidence. Self-worth. Energy. And a huge part of that was how The Healthy Mummy educated me on eating and showing me it can be easy. I find that whipping up a quick and healthy meal is easier now than throwing something greasy and awful in the oven.

It’s been a long journey, that is still going. I love healthy, nutritious food now. I workout 5-6 days a week. And there is no depression in sight and my anxiety is under control.”

“I’m 36, 168cms tall with a 15-year-old daughter and 7-year-old twin boys.

I’m not at my smallest but that’s quite ok with me my #healthymummyresults are more than enough for me right now. 

Balancing shift work, three kids and some semblance of me-time on my own is HARD WORK and yep, I’ve sacrificed exercise for sleep on most occasions. But when that happens, I make sure my nutrition is as good as I can get it thanks to what I’ve learned from The Healthy Mummy. 

No more missed breakfasts or snacks. I’ve found eating to be absolutely crucial in making sure I don’t binge later in the day and that’s super important in weight loss and maintaining.

“One year between these pictures. My 28th birthday is on Thursday and for the first time ever I am proud of my booty thanks to The Healthy Mummy!

I have never taken the time or cared what my bum looked like. I have never liked looking at it and have never ever seen any progress! Years ago, before my daughter, I lost 20kgs and my bum was as flat as a pancake 

I did cardio only and never did any bum workouts. 

Now, I have a 3-year-old, am in my late 20’s, and have the best bum I’ve ever had!

“I was actually shocked when the photo on the left popped up on my Facebook memories this morning.

Stay consistent and the results will show over time! 

It doesn’t happen overnight.

I was given a smoothie tub by a friend.

I live on the healthy mummy support page, being inspired by the ladies on there keep me pushing to keep aiming high and to keep hitting my goals.

My tips would be, stay consistent, take photos, weigh in at the start of your journey then stay off the scales for a few months, keep measuring with the measuring tape. Scales can knock you down so easy, don’t define yourself by a number.

I have lost 35kg with The Healthy Mummy.”
