Along with Healthy Mummy Founder and CEO Rhian Allen, Channel 9 news showcased the stories of two of our AWESOME mums who have lost weight and revolutionised their health using the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and Healthy Mummy Smoothies.

Nicola Oates and Cat Christ have lost 46kg and 32kg respectively and we couldn’t be prouder!

Nicola’s weight loss story!

Nicola joined The Healthy Mummy in January 2017 weighing 122.2kg.

“Before I started my Healthy Mummy journey, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I was constantly tired and would struggle to stay awake throughout the day,” she says.

“I would have daily sleeps when my children did and I was a chronic snorer. It was majorly impacting my health and potentially my lifestyle as my doctor was recommending I shouldn’t drive as my diagnosis was so severe!”

After seeing results from the Healthy Mummy Smoothies and recipes, she joined the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in August 2017. And now she’s lost 47kg and has gone from a size 20/22 to a size 12!

“Since I have lost weight and improved my fitness, I am healthier and happier. My children now have a mum who can run around with them and is no longer so tired.”

Cat started her journey in 2010 with recipes available on our blog, but back then she didn’t have the amazing access to the never-ending recipes and at home workouts of the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges like she does now. She’s now pregnant with baby number 3 and says it will be her healthiest pregnancy yet!

“I had managed to lose a total of 32kgs* with The Healthy Mummy between 2010 – 2015 (and having my second child in the middle). I was able to maintain this weight loss and increase my fitness and health to be a Group Fitness Instructor since 2015 and during my third pregnancy,” says Cat.

“Keeping up with two school aged kids and working three jobs can be time consuming but they help me to make sure I am feeding myself and belly bub all of the nutrients we need.”
