We will help you nail your technique while working out from the comfort of your home, or give you the confidence to strut straight over to the weights section at the gym, even at peak times!

This exciting new program available in The Healthy Mummy App is very different to anything we have ever done before, and we hope you LOVE it!

Our EMPOWER folder has a library of tutorial videos explaining movements and breaking down all the basics you need to know!
We teach you how to correctly lift weights using dumbbells, a kettlebell or a barbell.

If you choose this program in app a workout will be prescribed to you 3 days per week, each week you will receive an upper body workout, a lower body workout and a total body workout.

We want you to build strength, improve your fitness, challenge yourself and feel EMPOWERED!

Each workout in this program is approximately 30 minutes long, including a warm up and cool down.

You will see a short video displayed at the top of each workout as a reminder of how the movements are performed, but your workout is written in the text below.

Work through the exercises, ensuring you take the short rest periods provided to get the most out of your workout.

In this program you will see a lot of repetition. Building muscle takes time and hard work! Focus on your form, getting the movements right and then look at increasing your weights and really pushing yourself!

Focus on active recovery such as a 30 minute walk or a cardio workout on the days you aren’t weight training.

Rest, recovery, hydration and eating adequate protein will assist you in smashing your goals!

So I was VERY excited to see the release of the new EMPOWER exercise program on the Hm app. Tried it today and loved it. Although I’ve been using weights for years ( although I had to back off a bit after my shoulder injury) it’s still great to be reminded how to use correct form and ensure you’re doing exercises properly, which is what the new program does. I just sampled a few random ones today for an all over body workout. Doing each exercise twice x 10 reps. I got a great workout in and felt like I was working harder than usual because I was concentrating on my form more.

If you’re new to weights OR even if like me you’ve been doing them for a while it’s a great program to try. Next I’m going to incorporate it into my usual program targeting different parts of the body on different days.
