25kgs lost in 5 months, here’s how this mum is going into 2018
Remembering to appreciate yourself and your life is how this mum takes the best care of her body.
Rochelle has so far lost 25kg in the last five months by using the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and has gained SO much more energy, health and strength!
“It is what you consistently do that impacts on your health and on your body. This is a way of life, a way of living you return to after a meal with a friend or a holiday,” says Rochelle.
A New Years resolution
Rochelle’s health and weight loss New Years resolution is to know when she is having too much or too little of something. To take care of her body, to look her best and to live each day connected to what a gift life is.
“To acknowledge how precious I am, and treat myself accordingly as I hope others do for themselves too,” she says.
In 2018, Rochelle is going to do these three things differently or possibly even better:
1.Creating a morning ritual
Rochelle says, “This is one of the most beneficial undertakings you can do. As you wake up you might meditate, go for a walk, write in your diary. It’s this morning ritual that sets you up for the day, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.”
See these 10 ways to detox your mind and body, hint it involves meditation.
The busy mum-of-six realises sometimes it is not achievable to have the time to do this every morning. However, she assures it CAN be done, saying “do what you can”.
You may decide to wake up 20 minuets before everyone else or do what you need to whilst your little ones watch you as Rochelle says, “the key is that we all need to remain flexible so that if a child needs us during this time it doesn’t ‘ruin’ the morning.”
Creating a morning ritual allows you to get more done have more motivation and energy. Rochelle thinks you not only tend to experience better and more consistent energy, but those around you get the best version of you too.
2.Meditate with mind.body.breath.
Meditation helps you to calm your mind, increases your focus and helps with time management.
It also teaches us how to overcome challenging mindsets and be more authentic.
Rochelle says to keep in mind that you shower each day to wash the physical dirt off your body, adding “meditation does that for your mind. And it brings you home to the truth of who you are.”

3.What is scheduled actually gets done
By scheduling time blocks for things like ‘me time’, exercise, meal prep, emails and even social media will allow you to be more present when those things are done.
“Often when I’m playing with my children my mind wonders to everything I need to get done. Yet, if I think of this while playing, and it’s scheduled, I can relax knowing that the time will come to do that task, allowing me to be more present with the playing,” says Rochelle.
Rochelle will be utilising my Healthy Mummy diary as a health enhancing, energy creating resource in her life.

2. Build your muscle mass.
3. Get flexible.
4. Diaphragmatically breathe.
5. Drink mostly water.
6. Get eight hours sleep per night.
“Do these as often as you can, but know that there is an incredible impact a new level of commitment to your health and self care can bring,” she says.
