Has everyone signed up to August’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge? Good. It’s going to be an AWESOME month, as we all tackle weight loss goals and boost our metabolism!
And we’ve got some inspiring ladies to help drive us along.
These 21 women have lost a HUMUNGOUS 532.5kgs combined… which is so incredible! On average that works out to be over a 25kg loss per mum.
We’re excited to introduce our lovely August Motivating Mums:
1. Virginia Middleton has lost over 27kg
Virginia has lost 27 kilos following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and drinking The Healthy Mummy smoothies since joining last year. Her goal for August is to get herself back on track after a vacation.
“I’m absolutely over the moon to have been chosen to be one of your August Motivating Mums! I’ve lost 27kg in total, 14kg with Healthy Mummy, since I joined last year! I love everything about this program and the support you get,” she says.
“My goal for August is to get myself back on track after the last 3-4 weeks of my holidays. I’ve gained a little bit and become a bit lazy with my exercise, water and nutrition. I want to get back to feeling amazing because I’m fuelling my body properly, and doing my daily exercises to build my strength and fitness. I plan to drink 2-3 litres of water a day.”
We’re sure you’ll smash it, Virginia!
2. Sam Stevenson has lost over 20kg
Sam has recently been diagnosed with PCOS and underwent surgery to have a cyst removed. But she says she’s feeling inspired this month to get her health back on track.
“This is my second time following the Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge after the birth of one of my children and I absolutely swear by it,” she says.
“I have lost over 20kg in total and have gone from a size 18 to a size 12. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and in July underwent surgery to cut out a cyst that was growing in my ovary, so I was unable to exercise much last month. But have I let this derail me? Hell no!!!!
“This month I plan to continue on working on toning my body. Watch out August, I’m coming for you!”
We can’t wait to see the results, Sam. We’re glad you’re feeling better now!
3. Nikki Myles has lost 25 kilos
“Eight months ago I made a decision which would transform my life and that of my family’s. This decision would prove to make me a healthier, stronger and a better mother and wife. I have lost 25 kilos in that time,” she says.
“We are now saving money because I don’t waste food now and I only shop for what I need. Before The Healthy Mummy I was unhappy and tired all the time.
“My goals for August are to meal plan and prep every week, to push myself even further and fit into a size 8 pair of jeans. It’s been a long time since I have.”

4. Natasha Behm has lost 30kg on the Challenge
She says: “I’ve lost 30kg thanks to the help from The Healthy Mummy. I’m SUPER EXCITED to be one of your Motivating Mums for the month of August.
“I look forward to smashing my goals with you during August and to help keep you motivated during the month. I can’t wait to try out the new 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge exercise Tabata this August.
“My weight loss goals are to work on my weight loss and get into the 70kg region.”

5. Kate Jacklin has lost 16.5kg altogether
Kate initially lost 11.kg on The Healthy Mummy through the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, then had her second baby. Since going back on the Challenges after giving birth, she’s lost 5kg.
She says: “After being unhappy with my appearance, I joined The Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in March 2016. Between then and November, I lost 11.9kg. I had never felt more fit and healthy!
“I then fell pregnant with my second child. After giving birth to my son, I have lost 5kg on the Challenges. I am now 6 weeks postpartum and this month I intend to keep active and tone up. I also want to increase my water intake to 3 litres a day, and keep on top of my meal prep.”

6. Sandra Gee has lost 22kg
Sandra looks phenomenal after losing 22kg following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and she says she’s never felt better!
“I have lost 22kg and have never felt better! My August goal is to continue on my Healthy Mummy journey of a healthy and and active lifestyle, and to rev up my metabolism,” she says.
“I am so excited to be one of your Motivating Mum for the month of August and I KNOW we can smash out goals together.”

7. Tezza Fultz has lost 33 kilos
Tezza has lost over 33 kilos following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and wants to remain active, as she’s having an operation soon.
“I have lost 33kilos and over 135cms of measurements from my overall body since I commenced my HM journey in March 2016. I am now 100.3kilos down to 67,” she says.
“My goals for August are to remain active, as I have a operation booked in. This isn’t going to be an excuse to eat what I like and not be active. It’s not going to be a huge hiccup, as I will be slowing down my exercise, but I wont let it turn to a negative.
“Another goal is to not weight gain this month. I’ve joined our local council’s 10,000 daily step challenge. So this will definitely keep me motivated this month.”

8. Melanie Arnold – Stemm has lost 45kg
Melanie says losing 45kg following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges has made her feel more confident within herself.
“At 135kg and severely unhappy, I knew I had to make a change! I wish I had started the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges sooner,” she says.
“I have now successfully lost (and maintained) a 45kg loss, with my goal changing from a number on a scale, to happiness in how I look.
“The 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges has not only given me weight loss and health, but just like many others, I’ve gained a new outlook on life!
“My goals are to dance the month away with Dee on Dance Fit, it is my birthday month after all.”

9. Donna McKercher has lost 13kg
Donna has lost 13kg by following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges plans, and she says her hubby has also lost 11kg ‘by accident’.
“Since becoming a Healthy Mummy in March of this year, I’ve lost nearly 13kgs and by ‘accident’ my husband has lost 11kgs, because he’s eating what I’m making him,” she says.
“Our kids love all of The Healthy Mummy recipes too, and the early education of the importance of good foods and exercise is already influencing them. We call ourselves one big Healthy Mummy Family! I feel so much more happier and energised.
“My August goals are to reach my ultimate goal weight, run my first 10km event and tone up and feel stronger.”

10. Dana Elaine Tonkin has lost 10kg
Dana has gone from 65kilos down to 55kilos by following the Healthy Mummy lifestyle.
“I absolutely LOVE the lifestyle and that it is a LONG term process! My August goals are to focus more on meal prepping and meal planning,” she says.
“I cannot wait for August as July has been a massive struggle with excuses!!! But bye bye excuses HELLO awesome August!”

11. Robyn Jurd has lost 24kg
Robyn is super excited to be one of your Motivating Mums for the month of August. She lost 24kg through the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and has gone down from a size 16 to a size 8/10.
“The Healthy Mummy has changed the person I am today. I am so much happier, confident and healthier,” she says.
“I turn 30 in November and thanks to The Healthy Mummy I am the healthiest, fittest and lightest I have been in my adult life. My goals are to continue training for the half marathon in September – something I would have never even considered before joining the Challenges!’
12. Annette Palma has lost 30kg altogether
Annette is looking forward to focusing on her health ahead of her holiday this month. The mum-of-three has lost 20kg by following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges.
“Before falling pregnant with my 3rd baby, I used The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge to lose 20kgs and be the healthiest and fittest I’d ever been in my adult life,” she says.
“I had my little boy in February and I’m now working on getting back to that point again. I’ve lost 10kgs so far and feel like I’m in an awesome headspace to achieve my goals.
“I’m not going to let my holiday derail the month, but I’m going to eat as well as possible and be consistent with my exercise.”

13. Jessica Magill has lost 20kg in 6 months
“I lost 20kgs in 6 months with the Healthy Mummy after my second child, I then used the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge recipes for a healthy pregnancy, and I’m now 5 weeks postpartum after baby #3 and ready to use the Challenge to reach my goal weight,”she says.
“My goals this month are the drink 3 litres of water and get my portion sizes under control.”
14. Chloe Cox lost 40kg in 15 months
“I am now I am 16 weeks pregnant with baby number 3 but I am enjoying my first Healthy Mummy pregnancy, “ she says. “My goals this month are to walk more and drink three litres of water.”
15. Heidi Joy has lost 20 kilos
“My goal for August is to stay on on track with my food and water intake,” she says.
“The Healthy Mummy has changed my life for the best. I want to show everyone how a girl that would never eat/like anything now LOVES good healthy food. A girl that just sat on the couch all day is now LOVING to move her body.
“It has helped me completely transformed my life for the best and I want to scream it from the rooftops.”

16. Nicola Oates has lost 33 kilos
Nicola has lost over 33 kilos with the help of The Healthy Mummy.
“Since falling pregnant with my first baby in 2012 I have progressively put on weight, until one day I woke up and I was over 100kg,” she says.
“I was unhappy and knew I needed to lose weight but wasn’t sure where to start. As luck would have it, I discovered the wonderful world of Healthy Mummy in December 2016 and I honestly haven’t looked back. I have lost over 33 kilos and have a completely new outlook on life.
“August is my birthday month and this year I have so many reasons to celebrate! My goals are to exercise at least 30 minutes every day, to enjoy my birthday – eat cake but in moderation. Let’s do this!”
17. Rebecca Ferreri has lost 17kg
Rebecca has lost 17kg on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and is now restarting her weight loss journey again after welcoming her second daughter into the world.
“I love everything about the program, as it’s all designed to make my life so much easier,” she says.
“My goals are to complete a Challenge workout every day and meal rep as much as I can. I’m so excited for August.”

18. Stacey Gittus has lost 30kg
Stacey is mum to three kids who are all under six. After dealing with her postnatal depression, she has managed to lose 30 kilos through The Healthy Mummy and has turned her life around.
“I found Healthy Mummy in January 2016 after returning to work following the birth of my 3rd child. I was 5 months postpartum extremely overweight, suffering postnatal depression and generally struggling with how busy my life was,”she says.
“I’ve since then lost 30kgs and turned my life around. I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve been in all my life, and in turn I’m a better mum and wife. I love that The Healthy Mummy is a lifestyle & never feels like a diet.
“My August goals are to get to the gym at least three times a week and focus on meal prep.”
19. Katie Shaw has lost 17 kilos
Katie joined the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge in January, and she’s since lost 17 kilos but gained a whole heap of confidence!
“My August goals are to increase my fitness levels and stick to my meal plans.”
20. Summer Bostock has lost 10kg on the Challenges
Summer has lost 10kg since January, as well 60cm from her body.
“I can tell you I am soooo thankful to have found The Healthy Mummy! I joined up to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge on January 16th this year. I’ve had ups and downs but I’m definitely in the best place I’ve been so far,” she says.
“Since January I’ve lost around the 10kg but more than that I’ve lost over 60cm from my body. To think I’ve always been the one to quit at trying to lose weight after a week or two.”
“My goals for August are to exercise six days a week, drink 3 litres a day and try new recipes from the Challenge hub. I can’t wait to smash out August with you all!”

21. Amy Ellen Atkinson has lost over 50kg!
Amy Ellen says she’s a better role model to her kids now she is making healthy lifestyle choices. The mum-of-four has lost an incredible 50kg on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
“I have lost over 50kg since joining the Challenge. It has been life changing for me. It has made me a better role model for my 4 young children. I have heaps more energy to do activities with them,” she says.
“I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. I’ve tried many diets before but the scales kept on rising. After the birth of my 4th child I weighted 162.4kg. I knew it was time to do something about it.
“It was the support and motivation from all the other mums on the Facebook pages that kept me going. They all believed I could, and so I did. I’ve gone from a size 26 down to 16-18.”
