12 AWESOME ways to jazz up your vanilla smoothie

Purchased one of The Healthy Mummy’s awesome vanilla smoothies? While you can enjoy the mix with just water or milk, there are actually HEAPS of delicious recipes you can make with the smoothie.

We’ve pulled together some of our favourite ones. Enjoy!

1. Healthy Apple Pie Breakfast Smoothie

Apple Pie Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix
  • 1 Pink Lady apple peeled and chopped
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup natural greek yoghurt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup skim milk
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Blend all ingredients at high speed until well combined.
  2. Enjoy! 

2. Refreshing Banana Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup of cubed cucumber (if not frozen, also add 6-8 ice cubes)
  • Few good shakes of nutmeg
  • drizzle honey
  • dash of vanilla essence
  • 2 tbl sp Healthy Mummy Vanilla Smoothie mix
  • 200ml milk (I alternate between almond or skim milk)

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend all ingredients together, slurp and enjoy!

3. Late Brekkie Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tbsp Healthy Mummy vanilla smoothie mix
  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Add all ingredients into a blend and blend until smooth
  2. Pour into glass to serve
  3. Add a sprinkle of chia seeds and drizzle of honey on top for decoration

4. Creamy Carrot Cake Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tbsp Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix Vanilla
  • 1 cup Almond or Coconut Milk
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 2 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of ginger
  • 5 cubes ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine all ingredients together in a blender
  2. Blend on high for 2-3 mins
  3. Enjoy!

  • 1 x small orange
  • 1 x lemon
  • Pulp of 1 x passionfruit
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 100ml of water

  • ½ red grapefruit peeled
  • ½ cup mixed frozen berries
  • 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 200 ml filtered water

7. Snickers Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 banana (can use pears also)
  • 200 mls milk of your choice
  • 2 scoops chocolate or vanilla smoothie mix
  • 1 Tbs natural peanut butter
  • 1-2 Tbs rolled oats
  • cinnamon to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Whiz it all together and enjoy!

9. Banana Nut Healthy Mummy Smoothie Recipe

Banana Nut Healthy Mummy Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
  • 250 ml coconut water
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp vanilla healthy mummy mix
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • Lots of ice
  • Optional Extra: Add 1 large handful of baby spinach for extra iron!
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Place all ingredients in your blender
  2. Blend on high for 2-3 mins
  3. Top with crushed nuts (optional)
  4. Enjoy!

10. Piña Colada Smoothie

4 Ingredient Piña Colada Smoothie

INGREDIENTS
  • 250 ml unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup frozen pineapple
  • 2 tbsp Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix vanilla
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • Lots of ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Blend all ingredients on high speed for 2 minutes, and then serve.

11. GUILT FREE Salted Caramel Smoothie

This smoothie tastes indulgent, yet can be added to your healthy eating plan to help you lose weight.

INGREDIENTS
  • 250 ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbs Vanilla Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 3 pitted dates
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 handful ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Mix all ingredients in blender
  2. Top with whipped coconut cream and a date sauce. (Date sauce is just a couple of dates, boiled with some water on the stove to soften, then processed together) 

12. Tim Tam Smoothie

What self-respecting biscuit lover could deny the sweet chocolatey excellence of the classic Tim Tam?  
And yet – sadly – they are only a sometimes food, a guilty pleasure, especially when trying to lose baby weight. However this Tim Tam Smoothie is just – pure pleasure! Tim Tam Smoothie
INGREDIENTS
  • 3 dates soaked
  • 1 wheat biscuit
  • 1 tbsp Pure Harvest Coco2 spread
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Healthy Mummy Smoothie
  • 200 ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup ice alter for desired thickness
TOPPING
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Blend all ingredients for at least 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add coconut cream to top of smoothie, then drizzle maple syrup on top
