After first discovering The Healthy Mummy in hospital after having her 3rd baby, Stacey has found a new way of life.
“I have learnt to love myself, I have found who I am as a person,” Stacey says.
After smashing her goal weight of 80kg, Stacey is now 74kg, and has lost 40kg, “I couldn’t of done it without the challenge , the smoothies for breakfast everyday, the ongoing support I get everyday from all you amazing mums,” Stacey said.
Stacey’s weight loss journey
Now studying to becoming a personal trainer and help others achieve what she has, Stacey is realising the importance of health.
Skipping breakfast is a well-known contributor to weight gain and or disrupted blood sugar levels. For example, you can read how eating breakfast EVERY day helped this mama go from a size 16 to 8.
Drinking The Healthy Mummy Smoothies (particularly banana) for breakfast everyday, means Stacey is nourishing herself as soon as she starts the day as she previously wouldn’t eat breakfast or if she did it would be sugar laden jam on toast.
Stacey says, “I was so unfit, puffed to walk even a few hundred metres, it was really affecting my health. I hated doing anything with my kids, I was so depressed, fast food was my go-to food, not to mention the chocolate and soft drink I craved and had daily.”
Did you know the Healthy Mummy Smoothies are loaded with essential B vitamins, Iron, Zinc and Vitamin D? The Healthy Mummy Smoothie has been created to help mums benefit from a wide range of nutrients which can support your diet and exercise program.
Food is important
The 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge also helped Stacey realise just how sticking to a healthy meal plan and food in general is.
Only buying what she meal plans for, bulk buying at Costco is a way to save on food for Stacey and her family.
Meal prepping snacks once a week, Stacey searches in the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge Recipe Hub what snacks to make for the week, getting her kids input also! “I love having bulk sweet potato soup in the freezer, even in summer,” Stacey adds.
Stacey says that food is so important to lose weight, so you need to be eating the right food. Without food your body won’t be able to burn anything, have energy to exercise or continue its bodily functions.
Making sure she gets to 10,000 steps is also a must on Stacey’s to do list.
Today at 74kg, Stacey feels amazing, “I am so fit, I can run and I don’t get puffed out, I love joining in with my kids, I am the best mum now that I have ever been in my life.”
