This policy applies to personal information we handle about our members, subscribers, customers, visitors to our website www.healthymummy.com users of services we may from time to time provide, and members of the public. It provides information about the personal information we collect and the ways in which we use that personal information.

The kinds of information we collect

The kinds of personal information we collect may include your name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as information about your children and family, nutrition, care, breastfeeding and weight information. We may also collect bank details and credit card details via our third party payment and customer management providers. Ultimately, the kinds of personal information we collect will depend on the dealings you have with us.

If you operate a social media or other online account, we may collect your user name associated with that account, and any other information or content you have made public in connection with that account. Such information or content may include personal information.

We may also collect information about your interests and preferences, other demographic information such as your gender, age and location. We may also collect anonymous information such as your IP address, browser type, and other software or hardware information – see How we collect information below for more detail on our handling of this type of information. Generally information of the kind described in this paragraph is not personal information as it cannot be used to identify you.

You can choose not to provide your personal information to us, but generally the information we request from you is required in order for us to provide you the goods and services we offer.

How we collect information

Generally we collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us, for example:

  • when you contact us or subscribe to our services by telephone, email or via our website;
  • when you update an on-line profile or subscription that includes personal information such as your name and contact details; and
  • when you enter your personal information into forms, surveys or questionnaires on our website.

There may be circumstances when we collect personal information from someone other than the individual concerned, for example, through a referral.  We endeavour to contact and notify the individual concerned of the circumstances of such collection where it is reasonable to do so. We may also collect personal information through publically available records, such as from social media.

If you choose not to provide your personal information to us for the purposes set out in this policy, or if we do not or are unable to collect the personal information we need, we may not be able to provide you with requested information, products or services, or to effectively conduct our relationship with you.

Our website may use “cookies” (these are files that are implanted in your hard drive by some websites to store information about your web use patterns) to enhance or personalise our website services. We use cookies to allow you to login to your account, maintain a shopping cart and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Cookies sent to your computer from us only last while you’re browsing our website. We do not store persistent cookies on your computer. Cookies also allow us to give you a more personalised shopping experience by displaying products that interest you throughout our product pages, thus providing you with a more friendly, interesting and enjoyable shopping experience. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is sent. Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. If you disable the use of cookies on your web browser or remove or reject specific cookies from our web site or linked sites then you may not be able to gain access to all of the content and facilities in those web sites.

Whenever you use our web site, or any other web site, the computer on which the web pages are stored (the Web server) needs to know the network address of your computer so that it can send the requested web pages to your Internet browser. The unique network address of your computer is called its “IP address,” and is sent automatically each time you access any Internet site. From a computer’s IP address, it is possible to determine the general geographic location of that computer, but otherwise it is anonymous.

We do not keep a record of the IP addresses from which users access our site except where you have specifically provided us with information about yourself, in which case we also record your IP address for security purposes. An example of this would be when proceeding to a checkout to finalise an order you may wish to make. After completing the form provided, your IP address will be stored along with a transaction number that allows us to track your order.

When you read, browse or download information from our web site, we or our internet service provider may also collect information such as the date, time and duration of a visit, the pages accessed, and any information downloaded.

We use Google Analytics to help analyse how you use our web site. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated is used to create reports about the use of our web site. Google will store this information. If you do not want your web site visit data reported by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For more details on installing and uninstalling the add-on, please visit the Google Analytics opt-out page at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Finally, we may also use web beacons to track the visiting patterns of individuals accessing our Website. Web beacons are images that originate from a third party site to track visitor activities.
