Fruit kebabs with orange dipping sauce recipe
You can tailor the recipe depending on tastes or what fruit you have available. We love a combination of melon and berries with grapes and banana but the sky really is the limit. Firm chunks of mango, citrus fruits like oranges and even more exotic fruits like lychees would all work well.
Try to keep the colours varied, and chop the fruit into similar sizes so that it looks good on the stick.
Why not even leave the fruit cut up in bowls and let everyone make their own personalised kebab? Kids especially love this option.
- 1 cup watermelon seeds removed, cut into cubes
- 1 cup green grapes
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup strawberries cut in half
- 1 cup kiwi fruit cut into cubes
- 1 cup banana cut into slices
- 1 cup low fat sour cream
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 orange juiced
- Thread the fruit onto the skewers and place on a serving tray.
- To make the dipping sauce, simply stir together the sour cream, honey, cinnamon, orange zest and orange juice in a bowl. Sauce makes enough for approximately 12 kebabs.
- For best results, chill the kebabs and sauce for an hour before serving.
