20 minute pork steaks with apple and greens

Here’s a quick and easy dinner idea that makes the most of quick cooking thin pork steaks. This recipe comes from 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge member Cassie Wight.

Feel free to switch the pork for minute beef steaks or a flattened chicken breast if you prefer.

Pork Steaks with Apple and Greens

  • 500 grams pork loin steaks thin cut
  • 3 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 bunches broccolini
  • 2 bunches asparagus
  • 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 500 grams pork loin steaks thin cut
  • 3 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 bunches broccolini

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Place apples into microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  3. Add cinnamon and maple syrup in with apples and coat well.
  4. Pour apples onto lined baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Steam the green vegetables.
  6. Heat olive oil in large fry pan on high heat.
  7. Carefully add thin pork loin steaks to fry pan.
  8. Cook the pork steaks for 1 minute, flip and cook on the other side for 30 seconds.
  9. Serve with steamed greens and top pork steaks with maple roasted apples.
