Healthy Mummy Stephanie Payne has had a tumulous weight loss journey that has included multiple surgeries to help get her healthy. Her journey has had many ups and downs but since discovering The Healthy Mummy Stephanie has discovered a new person within herself and is looking forward to the future.

“I’m blown away by this photo. Same elephant, same girl riding it, the same amount of giggles doing it but a huge 79kg difference between each photo. 32kg of them I’ve lost with The Healthy Mummy. The other 85kg will be gone the same way.”
The ups and downs of Stephanie’s weight loss journey
“Many of you know my story – I had lap band surgery back in 2010 when I was told if I didn’t do something I would die. I got down to 165kg in 2011 and needed another lot of surgery when my band slipped which saw me go back up to 211kg 18 months later. I still have my lap band but it’s not functioning as I require another lot of surgery should I want it to function.
I hovered between 190kg and 210kg for years and had come to the conclusion that I was simply destined to be big for the rest of my life and that was how it was going to be. That’s before I found The Healthy Mummy.”
More than just weight loss, how The Healthy Mummy has helped Stephanie
“In the 10 months, I’ve been following The Healthy Mummy I’ve learnt so much. As I lose my kilos, I gain so much more. I’m discovering someone I didn’t know existed and I surprise myself every day.
It sometimes doesn’t seem real that I have come so far especially after the struggles I’ve had but as I sit on the elephant at exactly my halfway point between my heaviest weight and my goal weight of 85kg, I know more than ever that I’m going to achieve my goals.”
Stephanie’s advice to others on their own weight loss journey
“Consistency, determination, staying accountable and believing in myself have been some of the keys to my success. And accepting that it’s not always going to be easy and I’m not always going to be perfect has helped me through the hard bits.
I am honoured to be able to share my journey with you all and it warms my heart to know how many of you are inspired by my story. As cliche as it sounds, I want you to know that if I can do it, you can do it as well.
