Bride-to-be who overcame anxiety after losing 25kg can’t wait for her wedding day

Not long ago, mum-of-3 Peggy Taylor was suffering anxiety and was so ashamed at how she looked in her friend’s engagement party photos, that she decided it was time to make a big change.

Fast forward to today, Peggy is happy, confident and comfortable in her own body. She has lost 25kg with The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges; no longer suffers anxiety attacks; and has recently celebrated her OWN engagement!

She shares her weight loss journey below and the photo that sparked her to make a change.


What motivated you to join the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges?

“After getting sick and seeing photos of myself at my best friends (themed) hens party, I decided I needed to change my life around.

I had severe depression and anxiety as well”.

How did you lose the weight?

“By using Healthy Mummy Smoothies and following the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge meal plans.

When it comes to the delicious and filling smoothies Peggy says the Banana and Caramel Smoothie flavours are her favourites.

She says “I’m unfortunately no longer on the Challenge due to money but use the free recipes to keep me eating healthy”.

From 90kg to 65kg. Total loss 25kg. And from a dress size 16 to a size 6-10.

“Since living a Healthy Mummy life, my life has completely changed. I’m no longer having anxiety attacks and I feel so happy and healthy within myself”.

Have you hit any hurdles in your weight loss journey?

“I definitely hit a bump in the road when I had a hysterectomy followed another surgery a few months after”.

How did you overcome this?

“Resting when I needed too, but continuing to exercise lightly when I could and eating healthy”.

What helped you stay motivated?

Peggy finds the Challenge App easy to follow and loves the variety of exercise videos. She says “I love all the exercises on the Challenge and that it’s so easy to access so you can do it anywhere with no excuses.

I’m now doing Zumba which I wouldn’t have done before because I had no confidence and I love doing it”.

With her upcoming wedding Peggy says “I’m looking forward to being able to look back on my wedding photos and seeing how far I’ve come. How beautiful I’ll be and how I’ll be on the day.
