What is Stronger Advanced?

The original 28 Day Stronger program in the Healthy Mummy App is a fantastic way to start using weights or refresh your knowledge and techniques.

If you have completed this program or have even enjoyed it so much you have completed it more than once, you may have noticed you are able to complete more repetitions. You may even notice you are getting to the end of the workout and you’re not feeling as tired as you were before and that’s because you are getting stronger and fitter!

To continue challenging your fitness and strengthening your muscles and joints the 28 Days Stronger ADVANCED has been developed.

Work your Muscles Harder

Although the length of the workouts are very similar, rest periods in the ADVANCED program are shorter so you will fatigue those muscles quicker and work them harder.

Choosing different workouts is a great way to keep your physical body guessing as well as keeping things new and fresh for your mind so you continue to enjoy the workout instead of becoming bored and unmotivated.

Burn Calories Faster

Using dumbbells/barbells or resistance bands during your workout can help build lean muscle faster, improve balance and coordination and target muscles more effectively. Exercising with equipment can raise your heart rate quicker, therefore burning calories faster.

Try a bicep curl without a weight, feel your bicep as you bring an object towards your shoulder. You could absolutely still work that muscle group without a weight, but now try doing the same with something a little heavier. Feel the difference?

Why Strength Training?

Strength training is very beneficial, especially for women and Mums. Having a strong core, back and shoulders helps to support our own bodies while lifting, particularly our babies and children. Strength training has also been linked to osteoporosis prevention with lifting weights showing to improve bone strength and density.
