Every now and then you come across something or someone that will change your life forever.
This happened to one of our very amazing mums, Chanelle Jade Miller. Read her inspiring story below.
Chanelle’s inspiring journey to weight loss
Chantelle says she was inspired to live a healthier life when she came across The Healthy Mummy on Facebook. She says that she is so grateful for the amazing opportunity and would very much like to share her journey and “empower other women.”
“Firstly, I just want to say thank you for this amazing opportunity, sharing my journey and empowering other women is something that really means a lot to me.
After the birth of my son in April 2015, I suffered from severe postnatal depression and at my peak, I weighed in at 135kgs. My relationship was not healthy, and I found myself emotionally eating to cope. In March 2016 I left with three kids under 3 and have embraced the single mum life.
In December 2016 I enrolled in university and I started my journey to be the healthiest, happiest version of me I could be. I found The Healthy Mummy in February 2017 after stumbling upon it on Facebook and started out using the free recipes.
After seeing so many other mums transform their lives I took the jump in July 2017 and signed up for the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and haven’t looked back. I have lost 28kgs and have roughly 17kgs to go for my goal weight. I found a love of exercise I never knew I had, and my favourite work out videos from the app would be the Tabata and boxing as I always end up dripping in sweat. As much as I love the workout videos although my favourite app feature would be the recipe hub, I am currently addicted to the slow cooked beef nachos topped with extra jalapenos!!”
