Inspiring mum-of-two Cassie, proves that healthy eating and exercise are the key to weight loss and transforming your body and mind.

She is the lightest she has been in 15 years and is completely addicted to ‘life’ after losing 28kgs with The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and exercises.

Cassie shares her weight loss journey below.


Cassie’s light bulb moment

On 9th February 2018 Cassie woke up and decided enough was enough. She needed to take control of her health and fitness.

She says “For some reason, I woke up on the 9th February 2018 and decided that that was it!!

I’d had enough of crying because I was fat, saying I have nothing that fits, looks good, or hides the fat.

Wishing that I would find a magic lantern that would grant me a few wishes!

I just didn’t want to put in the effort.

My sister had the gastric sleeve 12months prior and was looking bloody amazing going from 130kg to 86kg in a year!

I contemplated whether I should do the same but I had never really tried to lose the weight.

So I completely turned my lifestyle around that day!”.

Signing up to The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge

Cassie signed up to The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and downloaded a load of recipes that she knew her family would enjoy and put them into a folder to choose from each day!

Getting active

She then downloaded one of the workouts from The Healthy Mummy App (which is available to members of the Challenge) and started out doing cardio three times a day.

In addition, she started jogging on the treadmill three days as well using a couch to 5k app.

Cassie says “I bought a Garmin vivoactive3 watch so I could keep track of my heart rate to make sure it stayed at a high rate while working out.

Also loved that it tracked the distance I was running.

I now am back at work and still working out four to five days a week of cardio after work and running 6-10k along the waterfront 2-3 days a week”.

Weight loss results

Cassie started The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges in February 2018 weighing 109kg. Today she weighs 81kg.


She says “I honestly do not remember the last time I was at this weight. Maybe 15 years ago?

I have lost 28kg now.. 37kgs if you count the baby fat while I was pregnant last year. But 28kgs since February.

I am pretty ecstatic and am totally addicted to my new life!”.
