Julie Ann has dropped a whopping six dress sizes!
The mum-of-three says she signed up to the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and she’s never looked back since!
“In the first 12 weeks I had lost 19kg, in total now I’ve lost just over 50kg which has taken around two years,” she says.
“I’ve dropped an amazing 6 dress sizes!”

It was a photograph taken at her husband’s work party that spurred Julie Ann to make a big change.
“I saw a photo of myself from my husband’s works party in early July 2019 and didn’t like what I saw, so I decided enough was enough,” she says.
“I was browsing through Facebook and came across an advertisement for The Healthy Mummy.
“I joined the group but stayed quiet in the background, reading and seeing the other ladies results I was in total admiration for them, I decided to join on July 31st 2019 and haven’t looked back since.”
‘I’ve lost the weight of another person’
Before signing up to The Healthy Mummy app, Julie Ann admits she struggled with daily activities.
“Just getting dressed was a painful experience, I suffer with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis in both knees, endometriosis and Crohn’s disease, so losing weight has helped so much with all my health issues,” she says.
“I’m not carrying as much weight which isn’t putting that added pressure on my knees, I still have my general aches and pains which are associated with my illnesses, but nowhere near as bad as if I was carrying that extra 50n kilos around, I’ve basically lost the weight of another grown adult!”
Best of all, Julie Ann has noticed a huge difference inside.
“The difference I can see and feel in myself is amazing, I’m more confident,” she says.
“I don’t need to think about where to shop for clothes, my bubbly personality is starting to come back too. I smile more, I don’t hide from the camera anymore either, I’m a totally different person inside and out.”
What a typical day on a plate looks like for Julie Ann
Breakfast: Sneaky snickers smoothie
Lunch: Something sweet and easy
Dinner: Cashew fried rice for evening meal
Snacks: Vary from choc chip cookie tart, carrot cake with frosting and Weetbix Slice.
Workouts: Step workouts, express boxing, weights with Wendy and belly and booty.
“My favourite meals are low fat butter chicken, enchiladas, cashew fried rice, two ingredients pizza, cheese and tomato risotto and chicken and chorizo potato bake.”
“My favourite snacks include sticky choc chip date cookies, healthy triple chocolate cheesecake, peanut butter and vanilla cookies, Weetabix slice and choc chip cookie tart.”

- Drink plenty of water! Fruit tea also counts towards your daily water intake

Stick at it
‘You won’t see amazing results within the first few weeks or maybe even months, you will see subtle small changes especially if you take progress photos. If I’ve felt bloated or like I’ve not lost any weight, I compare photo’s and I can see the changes in my body shape, if my tummy looks smaller etc.’
