Mum who lost 21kg shows how she stays slim while eating carbs

It’s a common misconception that you need to eat salad and avoid carbs while trying to lose weight!

Sam has lost 21kg on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, and in the last few months Sam has been focusing more on toning and has lost a couple more of cm off her arms and legs.

“I’ve only lost another half a kg but I can see the muscles starting to show!” she says.

Following the high calorie meal plan, Sam doesn’t cut out anything. She still eat carbs, a balance of proteins, as well as fruit and vegetables.

Sam is entering her first half marathon in May and has been increasing her running time/distance in training for the event.

She has enjoyed adding The Healthy Mummy Protein Powder more to her smoothies after workouts and has enjoyed having more energy from using Super Greens more regularly and Metabolism Support Formula!

“My neighbour/good friend and I have really enjoyed swapping Healthy Mummy food with each other! This helps save time and we both get to try more new food!” she says.

By following the high calorie meal plan (1800+ calories) Sam feels like she’s not missing out on anything and this works for maintaining her weight loss also.

Sam’s day on a plate:

Breakfast: Healthy Mummy smoothie on her way to work.

Snack: Muffin or slice.

Lunch: Sometimes leftovers from dinner, other times salad and meat sandwiches, smashed eggs on toast, rice paper rolls. Sam says, “I don’t repeat things too often as I get bored and stray from my meal plan otherwise!”

Dinner: Family friendly budget friendly meals! “We love thing like the Slow Cooked Lasagne Soup, Devilled Sausages, Turkey Burgers, Porcupine Meatballs!” she says.

Snack: Bliss balls or fruit and yoghurt for dessert.

“My next goals are to keep toning, to keep building my strength and fitness so I can complete the half marathon running the whole way! I’m really looking forward to getting back into exercise after a few weeks off,” she says.

Sam is looking forward to trying out The Healthy Mummy resistance bands, following some of Ash’s weights workout videos!

 

She says, “Toning my butt and thighs is super important to me as a runner! I will keep on using the challenge exercise videos because thy are so easy to follow and are lots of fun! “
