She shares below how she lost 37kg and is feeling empowered and unstoppable. And you can feel that way too!

Melissa has lost 37kg (down from 107 to 70kg) on The Healthy Mummy plans and gained so much body confidence.
She used to suffer shocking eczema too. So bad that her skin would bleed and she could never wear short sleeves.
Since using the Healthy Mummy smoothies and changing her lifestyle her eczema has gone!
Melissa feels ‘Empowered’
Melissa says “Living the life of EMPOWERED means I am unstoppable!
Nothing will get in my way of reaching what I want.
Goals change all the time and that’s great because I know I’m always on a journey to what I want.
EMPOWERED means I CAN do this and I have proved to myself that I am capable of anything!”

How Melissa transformed her body and mind
When Melissa first came across The Healthy Mummy program she was at an all-time low both physically and mentally.
She says “I started at 107 kg feeling very very depressed and had absolutely no confidence in the way I felt or looked.
I knew I needed to do something the right and healthy way.
I didn’t want a quick fix – I wanted a long lasting solution. To be a better me and to avoid ever being in this situation again.
She says “I never looked back and have managed to lose almost 37 kg.
19 months later I’m living the dream of being confident and healthy, a better mum and person because I am happier with myself and how I feel”.
She says “The smoothies were a great help for me. They saved me as they were easy, yummy, convenient and always helped me when I was looking for something sweet but didn’t want to have something I shouldn’t. I love all the flavours and never got bored”.
Shredding the kilos
“When I was looking to shred I would always change up my routine. Lots of high-intensity workouts, like HIIT, BOXING, SPRINTING definitely got the kg off me. And adding weight sessions in between really toned and got me feeling a lot stronger.
What I was fueling my body with was the most important factor for me in shredding kilos.
Having a plan and always having a good stock of basic ingredients like tuna, beetroot, baby spinach, almond milk, smoothies, protein powders, rice cakes helped.
This way I knew I could always throw something together if I was time short (which most days I am).
Having those ingredients would leave me with a healthy snack or meal for e.g. a great protein salad or smoothie. And of course, I always have my frozen meals if I’m wanting something more”.
Keeping on track with weight loss
Melissa found that mums in The Healthy Mummy private support group help keep her on track. She says ‘the other motivating mums supported me and cheered me on when I was having bad days. Being a motivating mum myself now has helped to keep myself accountable”.
Melissa’s advice for other mums wanting to feel empowered
- It’s important to have ‘you’ time.
- Never let the guilt eat you away for leaving your kids to do exercise.
- You need time to yourself to stop, sweat it out, rejuvenate and feel good about you.
- It will make you a better mum in the long run.
