Nine mums who lost 280kg participate in EPIC ‘body confident’ swimsuit shoot
Rhian Allen, the founder of the Sydney based Healthy Mummy weight loss empire flew nine INCREDIBLE mums from around Australia (who together have lost 280kg) to Manly for an EPIC body confident swimsuit photoshoot and a day of pampering and celebration.
These healthy mummies are all shapes and sizes and together have achieved huge weight loss goals and overcome mental and health issues by following The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges, and enjoying the delicious Healthy Mummy Smoothies, free recipes and nutritional supplements.
The Healthy Mummy team believe in empowering mums to be body confident and celebrating strong, healthy mums in a BIG way. The picturesque waterfront location in Manly was the perfect backdrop for the celebration.
While none of the mums had previously met in real life, many had supported each other online during their weight loss journeys and when they met in real life the energy was electric.
Feeling empowered and body confident these mums got their inner ‘Beyonce’ on and danced the day away.

Melissa lost 35kg and her severe eczema completely cleared up
Mum of two Melissa Timmer has lost a MASSIVE 35kgs with the help of The Healthy Mummy Smoothies and regular exercise.
She recently joined 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and says she is enjoying learning to cook meals from scratch and that, to her surprise, they are not only healthy but yummy too!
The now 29 year old says, “I had severe eczema where my skin would bleed and it would be painful to exercise or even shower. It has all completely disappeared and I put it down to your smoothies. I think they balance out my body and give it what it needs to fully recover. My skin is just glowing every day, I always get so many compliments.”
When asked why she wanted to participate in the shoot Melissa said,
“This would be me stepping out of my comfort zone, it’s a new challenge, and I would love to experience something like this. I have built my self-confidence up thanks to The Healthy Mummy and I would love to show the world what I have achieved! If I can help motivate or inspire other women the same way so many amazing women helped me get in my way, my dream would be fulfilled. It’s my way of giving back as well because if it wasn’t for The Healthy Mummy and all the community I don’t know where I would be today.”
Having built up her own self-confidence Melissa is now passionate about empowering other mums to achieve their weight and health goals and regain their confidence too.

Teegan lost 30kg and kissed Type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol goodbye
Teegan Jones’ Healthy Mummy journey started when she received the shock diagnosis that she had high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes.
This 32-year-old mum was desperate to take control of her health issues and wanted the energy to be able to play with her children rather than sit on the sidelines.
Not only has she lost 30kg (down from 105 to 75kg) by following The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and enjoying the delicious Healthy Mummy Smoothies, she has taken back her health, confidence and life.
She says, “I kicked type 2 diabetes in the butt. With diet alone. I kicked high cholesterol in the butt. With diet alone. I have control over my PCOS. And get a regular period for the first time in my life.”
And if that wasn’t enough reason to celebrate, Teegan now has her body confidence restored her sex life is better than ever.
She says, “Thanks to feeling more confident and sexy I have taken my sex life back”.
She is also the active and involved mum and wife she always wanted to be, “I’ve learnt how to be an active and fun mum and wife, who no longer feels left out.”
Teegan credits the Healthy Mummy Challenge App and the amazing support from the Healthy Mummy community for helping her stay motivated.
Knowing that there are 1000s of mums in the same situation as her, trying to reach similar goals is really powerful. You can speak with someone any time of the day or night to share stories, ask for help, get a boost of motivation or just say ‘hey, I need some help.’ There is no judgement in the groups, just support and inspiration.
Teegan wants to show other mums to be proud of their body no matter where they are in their weight loss journey.

Hannah lost 26kg and completely transformed her body and health
Low iron, hair falling out in patches and thyroid problems were just some of the health issues that plagued 28 year old, mum of five, Hannah Fazldeen before she discovered the Healthy Mummy.
She says, “Before The Healthy Mummy. I constantly had low iron and sometimes needed B12 injections. Also, thyroid issues but since the shakes, I haven’t had any issues. I used to suffer from hair loss that resulted in bald patches, now my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been.”
Hannah admits she had always been a bigger girl with very poor eating habits. After reaching 102kg following two pregnancies in two years she became extremely depressed and says she never wanted to leave the house.
She had tried multiple diets previously but nothing seemed to work. Disheartened and upset she stumbled upon The Healthy Mummy Facebook group.
Inspired by the real mum transformations she saw on The Healthy Mummy Private Facebook group she ordered some Healthy Mummy Smoothies and began preparing the free recipes on The Healthy Mummy website.
Having now lost 26kg and completely transformed her body and health she says “this was the best decision of my life. I haven’t just lost weight, I’ve gained confidence and feel like my old self!”
Since losing the weight with The Healthy Mummy Smoothies she no longer has thyroid issues, her hair is glossy and healthy and best of all her iron levels have normalised. Which means no more B12 injections!
Hannah wanted to be in this shoot, “to show myself how far I have come. Also to keep boosting my confidence. Plus I’m a mum of five I would LOVE a special break away!” And we are sure every mum can relate to that.

Sarah lost 56.6kg and gained body love and self-confidence
Mum of two, Sarah Maynard, has lost a MASSIVE 56.6kgs with The Healthy Mummy and it all started with a photo.
What should have been an uplifting time for Sarah (receiving family photos taken when her son was 6 months old) turned into sadness and shame.
She says “I started my journey in full force after we had our sons 6 months photo shoot. I didn’t like or love the person I saw in the mirror or even the photo.”
Upset at how she looked, Sarah was inspired to make a BIG change.
After reading about other real mums in The Healthy Mummy online community who had lost weight and gained body love, Sarah decided to go full force ahead.
Following The Healthy Mummy recipes, she began cooking all her meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and becoming more active in her day to day life. She realised that she would still keep her family happy by preparing their favourite meals and snacks – just making healthier versions of them.
She says “The Healthy Mummy has changed the way I think and look at food and exercise.”
Sarah is determined to be a good role model for her daughter and inspire her and her entire family to live a healthy, happy life.
Confident, happy and healthy, Sarah now encourages women to love their body.
Sarah says “I want to show women to love yourself how you are. Love your body. I also want to show my daughter and family how to be so confident.”

Samara lost 17kg and overcame postnatal depression and anxiety
Racked with anxiety and suffering postnatal depression Samara Syed signed up to the Healthy Mummy in a desperate attempt to find herself again. And that she did and more!
She lost 17kgs in just eight months by following The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and Smoothies she has successfully been toning and maintaining her body ever since.
But best of all she says “I am now the happiest, healthiest, most confident version of myself. I have beaten depression and am now living the best life possible for myself and my two daughters. I couldn’t be more proud of the person I am today because of The Healthy Mummy.”
Samara started her Healthy Mummy journey in January 2016 soon after giving birth to her second daughter.
She had suffered severe pre-natal and post-natal depression and anxiety, her marriage was crumbling and suicidal thoughts weren’t far from her mind. She said, “The Healthy Mummy gave me something to focus on and a reason to be selfish and to find myself again.”
“During pregnancy, I had stopped weighing myself as I couldn’t deal with the scales continuously going up.”
After reaching her goal weight by following the Challenge meal plans and exercises and by successfully maintaining and toning her body for the past two years she says “I would love to show everyone that no matter what you have been through – the pain, the struggle, the heartbreak – you can pull yourself out of the darkness, refocus, and gain your life back.”

Nikita lost 39kg and no longer lets her disability hold her back
At 22 years old inspiring mum Nikita Baxter proves that with a little bit of persistence and determination anything is possible.
Losing a MASSIVE 39kg (down from 105kg to 66kg) by following the Healthy Mummy recipes she has learnt to accept her disability but not let it get in the way of achieving her goals.
Born with Spina Bifida, Nikita has no feeling in her left leg. This made exercising extremely difficult so she avoided it all together. Eating away her worries, she spent most of her life overweight and living in shame.
She says, “My whole life I’ve been overweight and actively blamed my spina bifida and no feeling in my left leg for the inability to exercise.”
At three months post cesarean and weighing 105kg, Nikita realised that her obsession with her body image and having to approve every photo of herself on Facebook (in case it wasn’t taken from the ‘perfect’ angle) was getting out of control. She decided enough was enough!
After finding The Healthy Mummy Facebook Group and being inspired by the real mum results she ordered some Smoothies, downloaded every free recipe and exercise pack and got to work.
While it wasn’t easy, she slowly began walking, running, and doing workouts in her lounge room. Before she knew it she had lost 30kg without stepping a foot in a gym.
She says, “Walking, running, workouts in my loungeroom. Before I knew it I had lost 30kg without stepping foot in a gym. Purely The Healthy Mummy and my persistence.”
She then joined a gym and dropped another 9kg!
Currently weighing 66kg, her confidence beams from her personality, attitude and smile.
She says, “My confidence beams from my personality, attitude and most of all my smile. I’m a better mum, better wife and I found the real me who has been hiding for so long.”

Nikita still has spina bifida and no feeling in her left leg but she says “I will never ‘overcome’ these but I fight more than ever to beat my ‘symptoms’ and prove I am just as normal as the next person and that nothing is out of reach”.
Nikita hopes to inspire other ‘disabled’ mums doing it tough. She says “I would LOVE to represent the ‘disabled’ mums doing it tough. I love showing that anything is possible no matter your abilities. You can fight for anything you want. I would also love to thank Rhian. She gave me my life back. I found the real me because she devoted her life to other mums. An absolute legend in my books.”

48-year-old Kerrie dropped three dress sizes and is in the best shape of her life
“I am now lighter, smaller, healthier and fitter than I was in my 20’s and 30’s,” says 48-year-old old mum of two, Kerrie O’Brien.
She has lost 17kg and dropped 3 dress sizes (from 14-16 to 8) by following The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and exercises on the App as well as including The Healthy Mummy Smoothies and supplements in her diet.
Feeling fabulous at 48, Kerrie says she is looking forward to confidently wearing a swimsuit this summer for the first time in 10 years. Something she admits she never thought she would say!
“I always used to sit on the sidelines in summer, even though I live in Queensland because I didn’t feel confident enough to wear bathers in public. Now I definitely do!”
Kerrie started the Challenges at the end of March 2017 weighing 77kgs/ size 14-16.
She says “I had struggled with my weight for years especially all through my 40’s, after having my two children at age 37 & 39. I put on 30kg with both pregnancies and after children weighed in at 86kg”.
Periodic arrhythmia and also rheumatoid arthritis in her knees had held her back from getting healthy and exercising but since following The Healthy Mummy program they are both very under control.
Kerrie says “My weight loss and improved cardiovascular health thanks to The Healthy Mummy. Tabata has seen me not have an arrhythmia episode since joining The Healthy Mummy. Likewise, The Healthy Mummy exercises have been great at developing strength in my legs and knees and I don’t feel the pain that I used to each day.”
“I am so grateful to have found The Healthy Mummy. I have my health back, a better body than when I was younger, and importantly my self-confidence back”.
Her message to women of all ages, especially those over 40 is that “I would love to show women like me in their 40’s that you can still get fit and feel great in your 40’s and that it’s never too late to be a better version of yourself.”

Shanyn lost 33.8kg and regained her pre 1st baby body after 2nd pregnancy
Shanyn Gray is a 32-year-old mum who discovered The Healthy Mummy shortly after having her second child. She says “I was determined to get healthy after not losing any baby weight following the birth of my first child”.
Not only has she gone on to lose a MASSIVE 33.8kgs (going from 108.8kg down to 75kg) by following The Healthy Mummy recipes and nutritional products she has been successfully maintaining her weight for 12 months.
Shanyn shares that she did not cope well emotionally and mentally after her first daughter’s birth but says “I am very happy to report that I did not encounter any problems with my second. I put it down to the healthier food and exercise having a positive effect on my mind and body”.
Where Shanyn would once consider a walk to the mailbox as hard exercise, she now enjoys running and taking long walks.
She says “I am fitter and happy and healthier all thanks to The Healthy Mummy.”

Amy lost 33kg, overcame obesity and learnt to love her body
Having been a compulsive yo-yo dieter for a good 15 years, alternating between being overweight and obese, Amy Sims says “joining The Healthy Mummy Challenges was the best decision I ever made”.
As a naturally shy person, Amy had always struggled in public and felt self-conscious about her weight. So much so that she used to bribe her brother to go to the grocery store for her.
Having now lost a MASSIVE 33kgs with The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges and Smoothies since joining in May 2017, she has never felt better.
She says “After just a week on The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Challenges and Smoothies I knew this was it. I wasn’t hungry, I wasn’t depriving myself of certain foods and it was enjoyable.”
Amy lost 27kg in the first seven months and now a total of 33kg. While she only has 5kg to go to reach her goal weight her primary focus is on toning her body.
During her weight loss journey with The Healthy Mummy Amy has learnt to accept her body and be proud of it every step of the way. She says “I have learnt to love and celebrate my body and every success it has, no matter what size – even when I was technically obese.”
While she still gets nervous at times she says “I feel so much better about myself and more confident.”
Amy has learnt that loving your body and having confidence in yourself is one of the best feelings in life.
When asked about the photo shoot Amy said, “I love what the photo shoot represents. Loving your body and having confidence in yourself is so important. I can honestly say that throughout my journey I have felt proud of my body and I learnt to love it no matter what size which was huge for me. I’m naturally a shy person and I’ve always struggled in public and felt conscious of my weight. My journey with The Healthy Mummy helped with this because every step of the way I celebrated my success and was proud of my body even when I was technically still obese. To be a part of such a strong message would be amazing.”
