Healthy Mocha Mousse Just 168 Calories

If you love chocolate and coffee together, then you will love this delicious Mocha Mousse. It feels super indulgent but it’s only 168 calories per serve.

Unlike mousse that you would buy from the supermarket, this recipe doesn’t have very much added sugar, no cream, and only a small amount of chocolate.

Try serving this up next time you have friends over for dinner – and you don’t need to let them know that it’s healthy.

  • 1/4 cup espresso hot
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 375 grams smooth ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 squares dark chocolate

  • 1/4 cup espresso hot
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 375 grams smooth ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 squares dark chocolate
Healthy Mocha Mousse
Instructions
  1. Brew espresso using your preferred method.
  2. Add gelatin powder and coconut sugar to hot espresso and mix well to combine, then set aside to allow to cool.
  3. Beat ricotta, cacao powder and maple syrup together using electric beaters or a hand whisk, then set aside.
  4. Whisk egg white until it forms soft peaks.
  5. Combine the espresso mixture and ricotta mixture and whisk until well combined.
  6. Gently fold egg white though the mixture then spoon into serving bowls.
  7. Pop into fridge to set for around 3 hours.
  8. When ready to serve, shave chocolate over the top and enjoy.
