In fact, it was photographs on New Years’ Eve that sparked Stacey to make a change.
“I hadn’t liked the way I seen myself in the mirror or in photos for a while now. On New Years’ Eve my daughter took a few photos of my family and friends at home celebrating my birthday,” she says.
“When I looked at the photos I instantly deleted so many of them as I so upset at how big I looked.
“I already new I wanted to sign up to The Healthy Mummy to make a change and this really made me want to work for it even more.”

The Healthy Mummy 12 Week Challenge
Stacey took advantage of the Healthy Mummy’s 12 Week Challenge that started at the beginning of the year. The Challenge consists of following 3 consecutive 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, making a pledge and getting extra support and motivation.
She says, ‘I loved the 12 week challenge! I tried to look at more as each 28 day challenge to mentally prepare myself for smaller intervals as I didn’t want to fail.
I’m excited for the next 12 week challenge and hopefully put in the hard work to get to my goal. Once I reach it I really want to work on maintaining it.’

Stacey’s 3 tips for success
1. Meal prep your favourite snacks or meals once you find out what they are to help stay on track.
2. Numbers aren’t everything. As long as you feel better within your body or the way you see yourself in the mirror. Take that win!
3. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Anything is better than nothing.
“I was one of those mums that always say ‘I will start my diet next week’. Don’t wait! Start now! It’s not a diet but a new lifestyle my my family and myself.
“I really want to continue this journey to be a healthier version of myself and for my family.”
