‘I feel so confident in my own skin’ says mum who’s dropped 15 kilos and 3 dress sizes

Mum of four Em is absolutely loving her newfound confidence since losing 15 kilos with the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

What’s more, her mental health has improved, she’s less exhausted and has much more patients with her kids!

Em Bryce is 31 and lives in Hobart Tasmania. She has four kids, 3 biological and 1 stepson. 

Like most of us, there was a trigger that led Em to make some serious changes to her lifestyle and to lose weight. Not only that, she wanted to change how she saw and felt about herself.

Seeing a picture of herself at her friend’s hen night was the defining moment to make that change.

Em says,  ‘The sparkle in my eyes was gone, I felt ashamed of the picture and I knew it was time to change the way I felt about myself.”

Weight Loss Success

After seeing the pic, Em was determined to make some changes. She signed up for the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and has not looked back.

She has lost 15 kilo’s and gone from a size 14 to a 6/8! Not only is she loving how she looks, she’s loving how she feels!

“It’s taken me about 12 months to lose it and maintain it.”

“My mental health has increased dramatically, I feel so confident in my own skin, I don’t care what people think of me anymore, I’m not fatigued I have a longer fuse with my kids now.”

“I love that my kids are witnessing my newfound love for my body, I’m instilling a good habit there for them that we can love ourselves no matter our shape or size.”

Em’s Typical Day

  • Breakfast: Overnights Oats or fruit
  • Lunch: Salad or chicken and rice
  • Snack: Protein Balls
  • Dinner: Healthy Mummy Dinner including dessert

Em never misses drinking 3 litres of water either!

Her favourite Healthy Mummy meals are the Easy Fried Rice and the Bacon, Mushroom ravioli

Em adds “We also love the Healthy Weetbix Slice!”

Along with doing pole fit and doing 5 km runs every few days, Em also uses the workout videos in the the Healthy Mummy App.

“I do the Total Body with weights, the intense HIIT with Wendy, and also dance cardio”.

Loving her Newfound Confidence

Em can’t believe the change in her on the inside and out since these two photos were taken around 16 months apart.

“The first picture I was sad, had no confidence and didn’t even want to look in the mirror. The second pic was yesterday, I have a newfound love for my life, body and the confidence I have gained!

Hang in there ladies, it’s not always easy, but when I look back at how far I have come I can’t help but be proud!”

Em’s 3 Tips for Success

    1. Consistency.
    2. Drink water.
    3. Sometimes you can only try your best and that will always be enough.

“Keep trying, I fell off the wagon so many times. It’s okay to treat yourself and one night of drinking or eating the good stuff isn’t going to ruin your hard work!”
