Healthy Mummy and Daddy, Liz and Michael, share how they lost 80 kilos together over the past 12 months.

Husband and wife lose 80 kgs between them and are seeing amazing health benefits
Liz Kennedy,27, and husband Michael, 39, from Oberon in NSW have three children aged 7, 5 and 2.
Together they have lost 80 kilos and proudly share their weight loss journey and the major health benefits they have noticed.
Liz shares, “I’ve lost nearly 40kgs following the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge after starting in January 2019.
Michael has also lost 40kgs following weight loss surgery in August 2019 and eating The Healthy Mummy meals.
“Together my husband and I have seen amazing health benefits, not only relief on our backs and joints but my cholesterol and liver are back into normal ranges now and my thyroid condition has improved.
“Physically I could never walk 7 km’s in an hour without sooking and whinging. Now I can even jog parts of that and keep up with the rest of the class at personal training.
“Mentally my depression and anxiety have never been better. I feel like I am me again and I’m not so tired anymore and it’s much easier to keep up with the 3 kids.
“We are both doing this not only for our physical and mental health, but to be here for our children. To see them grow and be able to enjoy running around the park, or fitting on a swing with them.
“My own personal reason is also finding me again, the confidence that I so long ago lost.”
“Flashback to the people we used to be. Strange to think we felt ‘fine’ carrying all that extra weight around! I seriously don’t know how we did, from the constant breathlessness, sore backs, and joints.
“It definitely hasn’t been an easy journey and yes it’s no lie I still enjoy my treats (like my large quantity of pav yesterday and my weekly eggs benedict) but in moderation of course!
“Nearly 80kgs lost between us in 2019 which is more than our 3 kids combined! Can’t wait to see where 2020 takes us.”
Liz adds, “My husband has had weight loss surgery but still follows the meals I eat. Small quantities though. He had his surgery in August 2019.”
