Tanya started her journey at 117kg and confesses that she would emotionally eat. But now, 11 months later and 87kg, this 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge member has lost 30kg!
By making little changes to her life such as walking more and giving up fizzy drink, Tanya has improved not only her health but her relationship with food in general.
“The Healthy Mummy works for me because I finally feel like I’m not on a diet because it isn’t, it’s a lifestyle change and I’ve learnt eating healthy can be yummy and easy and how to fuel my body right,” Tanya says.
Finding a healthy relationship with food
When it comes to meals, finding a healthy relationship with food was at the forefront of Tanya’s mind. She now tends to stick to easy family-friendly meals such as her favourites, Chicken and Chorizo Enchiladas, Mexican Lasagne, and Peanut Butter Chicken Curry.
Tanya and her family also enjoy snacks including the Honey and Oat Slice and Choc Chip Banana Bread. And a ritual in Tanya’s household is a Sunday breakfast of Gingerbread Pancakes and Banana Berry Bowl!
Tanya adds, “I love all the food! I snack prep and I make extra serves of meals for freezer my stash for when I don’t feel like cooking. That’s how I make The Healthy Mummy work for me.”
