So, how do you make sure you’re staying active and eating healthily when you’re parked at your desk for seven plus hours a day?

Zoe Weir, who has lost 22kg following the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge, has shared three tips she swears by for staying on top of her healthy lifestyle as a busy working mum.

How to keep your healthy lifestyle going while at work

Zoe is now back at work seven weeks after having her second child, and she’s still sticking to her meal plan and smashing her 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge exercises.

How, you ask? By being organised!

1. Meal prep

“Sundays are my meal preparation days, I make the homemade Beetroot Dip or the Spring Onion Dip and cut up some veggie sticks. I also boil eggs and make a big batch of bliss balls to snack on,” she says.

“I love Chocolate Peanut Crumble Balls and the Choc Mint Balls.”

Zoe reveals she also freezes fruit for her smoothies each day and makes a batch of food, usually one of the Challenge salads for her lunches.

And for dinner, Zoe cooks slow cooked meals, like the Beef Stroganoff, which she puts in the slow cooker before she leaves.

2. Exercise

Zoe reveals she schedules in exercise when she can throughout the day.

“I usually get up at 6am and have my exercises done by the time the kiddies wake up,” says Zoe. “Saturday mornings I usually have to myself, as the hubby looks after the kids, so I go to an exercise class.”

Zoe reveals she has a ‘me space’ in her house, and it’s where she does all of exercises each morning and it’s a kid free zone!

“When I’m there, I’m 100 per cent there and not anywhere else,” says Zoe.

3. Fit the housework in last

The most important thing for Zoe is that she puts her kids and herself first.

“I’ve learnt housework can wait,” she says. “As long as the floors are clean and the dishes are done, I’m not fussed about anything else. Sometimes I used housework as a form of exercise, but I used to get so caught up on keeping the house in order that I wouldn’t have time for anything else.”

We can jump onboard with that tip, Zoe!

“Going back to work has been amazing for my mindset,” she adds.

“And following the 28 Day Weight Challenge has given me so much more energy. I am nourishing my body as well as my mind.”
