If you’re trying to reduce the sugar in your diet, it’s a great idea to focus on savory foods where possible. You can often get olives and sun-dried tomatoes in jars or from the deli without added oil, making them lower in calories.

- 10 pieces fresh gnocchi
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup pitted green olives
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes
- 10 leaves fresh basil
Ingredients

- Preheat oven to 160C.
- Place the fresh gnocchi in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Roast for 25-30 minutes or until golden, stirring occasionally.
- Thread roasted gnocchi onto the end of 10 large toothpicks or small skewers.
- Divide olives, sun-dried tomatoes (cut into pieces, if necessary) and basil leaves between the skewers.
- Serve while the gnocchi is still warm.
