5 Ingredient Wholemeal Crumpet with Berry Compote
For a sweet start to the day, you can’t go past this delicious crumpet recipe with homemade jam.
Choosing wholemeal varieties of things you enjoy such as crumpets, pasta and bread means you can still enjoy them without the sugar spikes and the feeling of ‘I’m so full it hurts!’ after eating.

- 4 crumpets wholemeal
- 2 cups mixed berries fresh or frozen
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
- 1/3 cup reduced-fat Greek natural yoghurt
Ingredients

- Place berries, orange juice and vanilla into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2- 3 minutes or until berries have collapsed and liquid is reduced.
- Toast crumpet.
- Place berry compote over crumpet and garnish with a dollop of yoghurt and slivered almonds.
