12kg lost over 6 months saw this mum teach herself to love exercise
This mama has lost an incredible 12kg through the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge since joining in July this year, four months after her third baby.
Josette Campbell’s start weight was 64kg and she’s now down to 52kg.
After overcoming an injury and snacking on The Healthy Mummy recipes, Josette says she’s gone from strength to strength and she credits finding a way to love exercise for her transformation.
Exercise – turning pain into gain
In the first two months of her Healthy Mummy journey, Josette says she concentrated on what she was eating as she had a lodged disk in her lower back, but once that had healed she’s been using the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge app exercises.
And she manages to do her daily work outs at home with her kids.
“I work out at night in my lounge room after 9pm when I know all my three girls are sleeping,” she says.
Josette says she has really pushed herself and is now seeing the results for it, especially as in the beginning she was really struggling to enjoy exercise but now she doesn’t even hesitate to jump off the couch!
“I mainly do the Butt and Thigh workouts and Tabata workouts but I try and do a combo of them working out to be between 40-60 minutes a day, six days a week,” Josette says.
Josette is happy with the weight she’s at now but as she wants to tone up a little more, so she has signed up for another 12 months on the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and is excited to see how she can transform doing the detox and shred themed January Challenge, discover it for yourself here.
Snacks are where it’s at
Josette is currently breastfeeding so is eating over 2,000 calories per day. For her, snacks are very important to ensure her baby is getting enough nutrients. However, she makes sure all of her snacks are healthy and from the Challenge!
“I only meal prep my snacks for the week, every Monday when my two big girls are at school and kinder and the baby is napping I make up two lots of snacks to get me by,” she says.
When she’s not snacking, some of Josette’s favourite meals are San choy bow, 2 ingredient pizza dough, and she snacks on peanut butter fudge cups, and coconut maple bliss balls.
You’re doing a great job, Josette! Keep up the good work!
