For years Ashleigh hated being in photos, but now 30kg lighter, her confidence is soaring and she is ready to be in front of the camera again.

Discovering The Healthy Mummy

Ashleigh started her Healthy Mummy journey in January 2018 after visiting a good friend who showed her some of the delicious recipes available on the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge App.

She says “While I was there she was showing me The Healthy Mummy App and after going through some recipes I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go.

I had nothing to lose except the weight!

I’m first to admit I’m hopelessly unorganised and terrible at sticking to things but if The Healthy Mummy has taught me anything, it’s that it’s okay to have a bad day, you just have to get up and keep trying.”

Since signing up to The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges Ashleigh hasn’t looked back.

One of Ashleigh’s favourite things about The Healthy Mummy is how family friendly it is.

She says “I am a single mum of two little girls who are fussy and hate trying new things (much like their mother haha).

I have easily been able to adjust my meal plan each week to suit our families needs.”

Meal prepping instead of going to fast food drive-thru’s

Now that Ashleigh has learnt how to meal prep she finds it so much easier to avoid the drive-thrus.

She says “Thanks to The Healthy Mummy I now also meal prep and keep my freezer stocked with my favourite meals to avoid the after-work takeaway drive-thru that I was doing more times than I care to admit.

I used to think being healthy was so expensive but with The Healthy Mummy I’ve learned to meal plan and prep so that I use up all of my ingredients.”

Grocery bill down to $60 a week

By following a meal plan Ashleigh no longer has food wastage and says her grocery bill is down to about $60 a week for her and her two daughters.

Bumps in the road

“My journey with The Healthy Mummy has been far from easy.

I’ve had quite a few big life events that could have easily sent me down a dark road of binge eating (food was always my go to when I was feeling depressed), but The Healthy Mummy has changed that.

It’s all about getting back up again, a bad day won’t undo weeks of dedication and hard work!

I still allow myself a treat or two when I want it. The Healthy Mummy has taught me how to healthily enjoy all foods, moderation is key!”

I know I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m really beginning to appreciate my body at every stage.

I’ve even booked myself in for a boudoir photo shoot in 2 months, I’m actually excited!

I am truly thankful to The Healthy Mummy and believe finding this program has saved my life.

I’m capable of so much more now, and I am so much happier and so much more involved in life. I no longer sit on the sidelines.”
