Five ingredient sultana and oat slice

Here’s a healthy alternative to a store bought slice or muesli bar, and it contains all pantry cupboard staples.

Sweetened with just sultanas and a little rice malt syrup or honey, it shows that you can easily make healthy snacks without added white sugar.

The kids will love this too as a healthy after school snack.

  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp rice malt syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp rice malt syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
  1. Line a loaf pan or similar with baking paper and set aside.
  2. Blitz sultanas until they have broken down and are sticky.
  3. Add peanut butter, vanilla, rice malt syrup and water and blitz to combine.
  4. Add oats and cinnamon and blitz until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. Press evenly into prepared pan and place in the fridge/freezer to set.
  6. Once set cut into 10 pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
