Here are 3 ways to eat healthy on a budget.

Plan your meals

Planning and writing a budget-friendly meal plan is essential when you want to save money at the grocery store. The best way is to take one day per week to plan your meals for the upcoming week. The Healthy Mummy challenge app has made it easier for you by including a grocery list for specific meals.

It is a good idea to scan your fridge and cabinets to see what you already have. That way you are not doubling up and spending more money unnecessarily. You will often find the staples hidden at the back of your pantry that can be used.

Stick to your grocery list

Once you have planned your meals and looked at the grocery list for those meals, stick to it – it is important not to stray as it can be very easy to get sidetracked at the grocery store.  The best advice is never to food shop when you are hungry.
