Jacqueline: Finding Her Stride, One Marathon at a Time!
3.5 years with The Healthy Mummy
Jacqueline’s journey is a powerful reminder that we CAN do hard things! She’s incredibly proud of discovering a love for running, completing three half marathons, and even signing up for her very first full marathon! What an achievement!
When motivation dips, Jacqueline wisely leans on her Healthy Mummy friends in the online community. “Seeing other people’s success, workouts, and meals helps me return to what I know works for me,” she shares.
Her ideal day sounds like bliss: an oceanside run or Parkrun, followed by a nutritious breakfast and a social coffee. Even with school runs and AFL season in full swing, it’s all about balancing family life with nourishing food.
Jacqueline’s Top 3 Tips for anyone starting out:
- Keep it simple! Don’t overcomplicate things.
- Be kind to yourself. You can’t change everything overnight. Rome wasn’t built in a day!
- Uncover WHY you want to change and write it down.

For self-care, you’ll find Jacqueline running along the ocean, enjoying a saltwater dip, or having a “friend therapy chat” over a hot coffee.
Jacqueline’s favourite family activity? Saturday morning Parkrun!
Miranda: Joy, Health, and a New Lease on Life!
6 years with The Healthy Mummy
Miranda is nothing short of inspirational! She has shown devotion to living a healthier lifestyle over her time with The Healthy Mummy, despite the challenges she has faced, she has learnt how to pick herself up no matter what life throws at her!
Miranda’s biggest achievement is truly inspiring: shedding 35kg and rediscovering herself and joy in life! Her proudest feat? Consistently maintaining that healthy lifestyle.
When unmotivated, Miranda has a brilliant strategy: “I tell myself just to start and if I’m not feeling it I can always stop, which never happens!”.
Her top tip for someone starting on their Healthy Mummy journey? “Take it slow, steady and simple. Don’t try and make too many changes at once; you don’t want to overwhelm yourself. You want to set yourself up for long-term success.”
Self-care for Miranda is anything that “brings me joy and fills my cup,” from an uninterrupted hot shower to a quiet coffee walk or catching up with loved ones. It’s all about those small moments that make a big difference!
Miranda’s message to all women who are considering adjusting their lifestyle to a healthier one: “Think positive, stay strong and live life! Never give up.”
Mikaela: Running with Her Kids, and Loving It!

Mikaela’s commitment to her journey as a busy mum of 4 is highly commendable, showing us that persistent small changes and making your new healthy lifestyle work for you and your family are what matters the most for achieving long term success.
Mikaela’s proudest moments are truly heartwarming: “My daughter being able to put her arms all the way around me and overlapping! Also being able to run around in the yard with my kids for the first time ever.” Imagine that feeling!
Her family loves bush walks, climbing mountains, and beach trips. For those starting out, Mikaela’s top tip is simple: “Focus on changing what you eat first.” She raves about Healthy Mummy recipes, especially the kid-approved ones – a huge win with four children!
Her advice? “Start simple, walk, walk and walk. Don’t be afraid to start if you’re lazy, there are on-the-floor workout sessions!“
Self-care for Mikaela can be a relaxing candlelight bath or an invigorating HIIT workout, it’s about taking the time to look after yourself. Her ideal day is a powerhouse mix of early morning workouts, high-protein breakfasts, garden time, and active afternoons with her kids!
Teresa: Embracing the Journey, Inspiring Others!
11 years with The Healthy Mummy
Teresa is an inspiration, the true result of slow and steady wins the race, it’s about long lasting, life changing results!
After 11 years, Teresa’s biggest achievement is profound: “Changing my mindset, and embracing the journey, not focusing on the goal!” She also takes great pride in motivating and helping others within the community.
Teresa’s top tip for anyone embarking on a new weightloss journey is wise: “Choose one thing to change and only add things as you feel able to. Don’t compare yourself to others, everyone’s journey is unique.” This gentle, sustainable approach is key.
Teresa’s ideal day is a picture of holistic wellness: a workout, supplements and smoothie, time for hobbies and gardening to grow nourishing food, meal prepping, and finishing with yoga or meditation.
When motivation wanes, Teresa turns to our Facebook support groups, focusing on others’ stories and reconnecting with her own “whys.”
Louise: Making Memories, Building a Lifestyle!

Louise is a shining example of resilience, showing us that getting back up and dusting yourself off each time you don’t succeed is key to achieving your goals.
Louise’s biggest achievement isn’t just the 18.2kg lost or two dress sizes down; it’s the priceless feeling of being able to “move around, playing and dancing with my children” and making cherished memories.
Her advice for mums new to The Healthy Mummy is powerful: “Firstly, you won’t know until you try it. Secondly, don’t worry if it’s not exactly perfect like everyone else does, do what works best for you. Be prepared to be flexible, sometimes what you try first may not work and don’t let that discourage you; move on and try the next thing. Determination to make a change is key.”
Living in rural South Australia, Louise’s self-care is unique and wonderful: “Working outside making my garden and farm beautiful.” For unmotivated days, she believes in taking a “day out” with her children to refresh and reset.
Louise’s proudest achievement? Being consistent and making The Healthy Mummy her “way of life and my norm now.” Family time for Louise is all about camping and exploring the outdoors!
