How do you lose weight if every time you think about it you feel so overwhelmed that you end up eating more? It can feel like you fail before you even begin! Well, that’s exactly how Healthy Mummy community member, Krystle, felt. Read how this mum overcame her worry, transformed her health and lost an AMAZING 32*kgs!
Meet Krystle Allan, a mum desperate to lose weight – but the thought of going on a diet left her eating more! The other challenge Krystle faced – she strongly disliked cooking (minus packet cake mixes)! So how did Krystle overcome her culinary crisis and go from 109kgs to 78kgs?

I am 29 years old from Melbourne, Victoria. I am a single mumma of two children: Mr Five and Miss Two.
Discovering The Healthy Mummy
I learnt about The Healthy Mummy from a local mum late in my third pregnancy. My daughter is my biggest motivator as she was my miracle, after a miscarriage and brought the light back into my life.
The Healthy Mummy Difference
After struggling to breastfeed my son, my daughter was a boobies-only girl!
My journey began in March 2015. My weight had settled to 103.6kg. I ordered the Smoothies first with the Healthy Mummy Evercise DVD and joined the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge by the end of the month. We started walking everywhere with a double pram, which was great as the baby would always sleep in the pram.
The Healthy Mummy Confidence
The 28 Day Weight Loss challenge has taught me valuable food knowledge and I have learnt how to actually cook from scratch!
In November, we started attending a local bootcamp and joined a mixed martial arts club in January 2016. Without losing the weight I had, I would never have been confident enough to attend these sessions.
Better yet, my son is learning all about healthy food and enjoys exercising with me.
It’s A Journey
In mid 2016, my son was diagnosed with Aspergers and this (and excuses) had a spiral effect on my weight.
Its been nearly two years since I found The Healthy Mummy and I never want to go back! There were so many times that even though I knew I had lost weight, I couldn’t see it.
My tip is to take photos!
It is amazing seeing all the before and after photos in the Facebook group – but it’s all those in between photos that will keep you on track.
My Believe And Achieve Moment
At the start I had set my goal to 80kg.
I never actually thought it was possible but I DID IT! I actually got to 78kg!
I learnt that I need to have more confidence in myself and that I can achieve my goals.
I currently weight 83kg and I am committed to becoming fitter and healthier to set an example for my children and feel more confident and happier in myself.
