Australia’s favourite toy store is closing down forever
***Cue the Tears****
Toys ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us stores are set to permanently close after administrators failed to secure a buyer.
News.com.au reported that the 44 stores that had continued trading since entering voluntary administration in May, have now confirmed they will shut, putting about 700 people out of work.
Administrators McGrathNicol said stock will now be liquidated through sales at existing stores before they close in the coming weeks.

Toys ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us due to close
On Friday, June 22, Toys ‘R’ Us online ordering system will be closed.
If you have already made an order, what happens?
Administrators have stated that open online orders will be delivered to customers in cases where they have paid in full and stock is available.
If you hold a gift card to the stores, it is valid until July 5, provided customers spend an additional amount equal to the value of the card, the administrators said.
Also, lay-bys will be honoured until July 5.
When it comes to the 700 people out of work, it is expected workers will receive all their entitlements from the proceeds of the liquidation and asset sales, SBS reports.
