ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) are concerned that due to the baby walker not having the required safety warnings, the product may not be used correctly, posing a risk of injury to the child.
What are the defects?
The baby walker does not comply with labeling requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Competition and Consumer Act 2010 – Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2013 – Safety Standard: Baby Walkers’.
The baby walker does not have the required warning statements.
What are the hazards?
If the product does not have the required safety warnings, the product may not be used correctly, posing a risk of injury to the child.
What should consumers do?
Consumers will be contacted by HB Commerce to arrange for a new warning label and instruction manual to replace the warning labels currently on the baby walker.
