URGENT RECALL: Popular dummy sold at Chemist Warehouse could pose a choking hazard

There’s be an urgent recall on a popular pacifier brand sold at Chemist Warehouse.

In a statement from Nuby Australia, parents are being warned that their Nuby Silicone Ortho Pacifier 2 Pack 0-12m does not comply with the Australian standards.

Dummy recall: Nuby pacifiers sold at Chemist have been deemed a choking hazard

Due to the size of the shield, the dummy could become lodged in a child’s throat and block their airways.

This product was sold in Chemist Warehouses nationwide between September 2018 and May 2019.

“At Nuby Australia, the safety of our customers and their families is our highest priority,” read the statement on the company’s Facebook page.

“This is why we’ve decided to conduct a voluntary recall of the Nuby Silicone Ortho Pacifier 2 Pack 0-12m, due to a safety issue.

“This item was available for purchase between September 2018 and May 2019 inclusive. We recommend you stop using the item immediately and contact us as soon as possible.”
