Janet’s Weight Loss Update
I have officially decided that autumn is my favorite season – the trees are beautiful, the days are sunny and the nights are cool. The perfect time of year to start being healthier than ever and get those good habits firmly entrenched before winter sets in!
Well this week has certainly had its ups and downs. I had planned to do a boxing session and in preparation I had packed my bag, organized a babysitter and mentally prepared for a tough workout. When I showed up on Tues with my gear and all excited, there was no one there!
Boxing had been cancelled and no one had let me know!
During family visits we walked to get lunch and walked to the park to play with the kids and they were also happy for me to bring my own healthy mummy smoothie for lunch.
When doing errands I chose a shopping strip on a steep hill, put on my sneakers, parked up the top and walked up and down for 2 hours while I got everything done.
This morning I had a great ride on a beautiful day! I also managed to fit in the daily exercises from the 28 day Plan each day which are designed for busy mums and only take a few minutes.
It just goes to show there are alwaysreasons not to be active and healthy but its all those small decisions that can add up to great results. Sometimes you put lots of energy into preparing for something and someone else lets you down.
My biggest achievement this week was getting into the ‘healthy’ BMI range!!! I’m also getting regular compliments – it’s made any sacrifice worthwhile. I feel fit and strong and I know I will just get better every week following the 28 day Plan.
I also started drinking my green tea as iced tea which has made getting my four cups per day a lot easier, especially when I add fresh mint or lemon – It’s a great alternative when I feel like nibbling.
This week I will be continuing on the 28 day plan with a healthy mummy smoothie for lunch, but I will be picking up the intensity of my exercise with more jogging and resistance training. I look forward to next weeks results, this week’s results are as follows:
- Weight: 72.9kgs (-1.1)
- Bust: 94cm
- Waist: 81cm (-1)
- Hips: 93.5cm (-1)
- Thighs: 61cm (-1.5)
