Mariah Carey is known for her flamboyant lifestyle, her amazing voice and her fantastic figure, but at least one of those takes a lot of work to maintain. Mimi spoke to E! News while promoting her new reality show, Mariah’s World, about exactly how she maintains her slim figure- and it’s not a way that any professional would recommend.

“It’s really hard. My diet, you would hate it. All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That’s it,” She told E! News presenter Zuri Hall.

“I’m actually serious,” she adds when Zuri questions her, “I try to stick with the proteins. It’s the worst.”

Mariah also opens up about her September split with former fiance, Australian billionaire James Packer.

In the premiere episode of Mariah’s World Carey is making wedding plans. When Zuri Hall asks if it’s hard to relive those moments Mariah says, “No.”

She goes on to explain, “No it’s just, you know, all things in life it’s just like you gotta see what’s meant to be and if it’s meant to be it’s meant to be and if it’s not then ultimately you just have to accept that and move on.”

Mariah is reportedly asking Packer for $50m, on top of keeping her $10m engagement ring.
