Shantique Paul has shared a powerful and inspirational photo on her Instagram about self love. The children’s healthcare surgical assistant has an important message to share with fellow mums.
After 3 babies this is how my tummy looks. Am I ashamed of it? Definitely not! Do I care what others think? Definitely not! Do I love my body? Absolutely! Would I ever consider an abdominoplasty? No way Jose! I am beautiful on the inside and outside. If I don’t love me and all of my flaws how can I expect someone else to love me? It starts within. Self love is always the best love! #stretchmarks#tigerstripes #beautiful #lovingmefirst #lovingmybody#mommyof3 #mommytummy#stillfinetho #selfloveisthebestlove #selflove#melaninpoppin
Am I Ashamed? Definitely NOT
This mama has a very powerful message to get across to mums of the world. She says ‘After 3 babies this how my tummy looks. Am I ashamed of it? Definitely not! Do I care what others think? Definitely not! Do I love my body? Absolutely!’ I think we have just found our favourite inspirational mama!
Going through her Instagram, Shantique is an absolutely beautiful woman, both inside and out. She loves working with and helping children and she has one the most positive and uplifting accounts I’ve seen.
Self Love Starts Within
She says ‘If I don’t love me and all of my flaws how can I expect someone else to love me? It starts within.’ Self love is a beautiful and powerful message to give our daughters. If we are always negative and always put ourselves down, how are our daughters going to learn how to self love?
After carrying 3 babies myself, I was once ashamed of my stretch marks and mum-tum. A couple of years ago, I realised my negativity was soaking into my daughters’ brains, like a sponge. I am proud of carrying my children and I refuse to hide my tiger stripes.
Be proud of your scars and stretch marks, they signify how strong you are as a woman who carried those precious babies.
