Jinjamarda says, “8 months ago I was a tired, grumpy and depressed mama and I was fighting my newly diagnosed under active thyroid that saw my body swell like a balloon! I had been doing the Heathy Mummy smoothies for a few months at this stage and I was trying to increase my exercise, while fighting fatigue and muscle tiredness as a result of my thyroid. I tried to stick to some semblance of healthy eating but I was still gaining weight and mentally I was a mess.
Fast forward 3 months to January this year when my journey began in earnest. After the January 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge I had lost 24 cms* from around my body and found a whole new level of energy and inner strength that I didn’t know I possessed.
The 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge taught me that I wasn’t eating enough and not the right fuel for what my body needed. It helped boost my confidence and allowed me to imagine what life could be if I came off my anxiety meds.
Just five months later after finishing my second challenge, the May sugar detox challenge, I have brought my total loss to 75 cms* off my body!! I am 3.5 months off my anxiety meds and my under active thyroid doesn’t control me or my body.
