9 delicious Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie recipes for every desire!
Here Rae Willingham from The Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Support Group shares a number of her favourite Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie combos.
There are flavoursย to suit everyone – whether you need a chocolate craving buster, something to help ease your cold symptoms or a healthy snack that will help with feeling tired all the time, Rae has got you covered!
1. What A Lime Tart Smoothie
- 2 tbspย Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1 tbsp shredded coconut
- 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt (use plain yoghurt if you don’t have coconut)
- 1 kiwi
- juice of 1 lime
- 300ml coconut water
- handful of ice cubes
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve.
2. Ice Cream Smoothie
This is like a soft serve ice cream so serve with a spoon to satisfy those sweet cravings in a healthy way.
- 1 tbsp Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup Greek natural yoghurt
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- squeeze of lemon juice
- 2 sprigs of mint
- 7 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve.
3. Goji Berry & Pineapple Pregnancy Smoothie
- 2 tbsp Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1/2 cup diced pienapple
- 2 tbsp goji berries
- 1 tbsp shredded coconut
- 300ml coconut water
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve.
4. Citrus Lovers Smoothie
A great Smoothie to have if you have a cold and need a good does of Vitamin C.
- 2 tbspย Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1 lemon, peeled & diced
- 1 lime, peeled & diced
- 1 kiwi, peeled & diced
- 1 orange, peeled & diced
- 300ml coconut water
- ice cubes
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve.
5. Hot Chocolate Smoothie
This will change your life! Showing that the Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie mix isn’t just for smoothies but also makes a delicious and nutrient filled hot chocolate!
- 1 tbsp Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- 1 piece of 85% dark chocolate
- 100 ml water
- 200 ml milk
Place all ingredientsย in a small saucepan and whisk well to combine and heat through.
6. Coco Nana Nutty Smoothie
- 2 tbsp Healthy Mummyย Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tbsp walnuts
- 200ml milk
- 100ml coconut water
- ice cubes
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve.
7. Pregnancy Smoothie Breakfast Bowl
- In a 1/2 a cup measure combine some rolled oats, nuts of choice, dried fruits of choice e.g. dried banana or goji berries and some seeds like chia or pepitas.
- Combine nut and seed mix with some maple syrup and spread evenly over a lined baking tray.
- Bake in a preheated 180C oven for 5 – 10 minutes until the nuts and seeds are golden.
- Make a thick Pregnancy Smoothie withย 2 tbsp Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie mix, 1 tbsp Greek natural yoghurt, 1/2 an avocado, 1 tbsp cacoa/cocoa, 100ml milk, some shredded coconut andย 1/2 aย banana.
- Place the smoothie in a bowl and top with the toasted nuts to enjoy for breakfast.
8. Choc Nut Thick Shake Smoothie
- 2 tbspย Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 1 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp macadamia nuts
- 1 tbsp pepitas
- 1 tbsp avocado
- 1/2 wheat cereal biscuit eg Weetbix
- 1 square dark chocolate
- 200ml milk
- 100ml coconut water
- 1 tray ice
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve with a spoon.
9. Cookies & Cream Smoothie
- 2 tbspย Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie
- 200ml milk
- 100ml water
- 1 tbsp cocoa/cacao powder
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 4 ice cubes
Blend all ingredients together until well combined and serve with a spoon.
