Millions of Australians are set to make health and weight loss resolutions for 2019

According to a new survey of over 2,000 Australians by comparison website finder.com.au 5.5 million Australians have vowed to lose weight in 2019.

The survey showed that 73% of Australians will be setting New Year’s resolutions for 2019 with 29% saying they wanted to trim down and tone up. Another 10% are hoping to change their eating habits in 2019.

The 2019 goal of weight loss and healthy eating was bigger for women (34%) than men (29%) that’s not to say men don’t want to lose weight or get healthy just perhaps they don’t choose to have it as a New Year’s resolution.

Losing weight wasn’t the only health-related resolution Aussies said they will be making with 10% saying they wanted to eat better. Whilst others want to quit or reduce drinking (4%) or smoking (2%).
