Food Standards Australia have issued a recall notice for milk produced by Lactalis Australia Pty Ltd that includes popular brand Pauls and Coles own branded milk.
The recall is being issued due to fears the products could have been contaminated by chemicals during production which has been indicated by a yellowish colouring or metallic taste.

Popular milk brands being recalled in Victoria and some parts of NSW
Lactalis Australia Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of the products below. The products have been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths, IGA and independent stores in Victoria and some parts of Southern NSW.
Why the recall?
The recall is due to chemical/contaminant (food grade dairy cleaning solution) contamination whereby the milk products may have a yellowish colouring and/or metallic chemical taste. This is a food safety issue and anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
A range of Pauls Milk as well as Coles branded milk are affected by the recall see the list below:
- Pauls Smarter White Milk, used by 25th, 26th, 27th June 2019
- Pauls Full Fat Cream Milk, used by 26th, 27th June 2019
- Pauls PhysiCALSkim, used by 27th June 2019
- Pauls PhysiCAL Low Fat, used by 26th June 2019
- Pauls Rev Low Fat, used by 28 June 2019
- Coles Lite Milk, used by 25th, 26th June 2019
- Coles Skim Milk, used by 25th June 2019
- Coles Full Cream Milk, used by 25th, 26th June 2019
What to do?
Consumers with the affected products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
